the spline drawing tool created 3d inlcude geometry.   good luck finding and selecting those when everything overlaps and the UI states 3 times sketch point without telling who owns wich point.   so I need to delete the constraints move the spline then delete the 3d include geometry and then I can move the spline back ...     pretty inefficient workaround - a with simple show and hide or better geometry selections this would be a one click deal. Would like to see a Preview button next to the OK and Cancel buttons on every toolpath Edit dialogue box.   I'm fairly new at F360 and 90% of the time, my toolpath doesn't generate properly. Most of the time, it doesn't generate at all! LOL So I have to go back into the Edit window a handful of times.   This would also give the user a chance to tweak toolpath subtleties before moving on. I do like the program, I'm glad that I found it, and want to learn more. . .     Although a reasonably fluent Sketchup user, I'm a rank beginner on Fusion 360.  My first model attempt resulted in 1 of 3 sketches not being fully constrained, and I could not identify the problem.  When I posted to the forum, others replied that the sketch was all black and, thus, should be fully constrained.  My take away is that the existing convert-to-black-to-show-a-constrained-item is not fully successful.    The software must have some metric that identifies an element as un-constrained.  It would add value if, when faced with not identifying why a sketch is not fully constrained, I could have the program highlight, box in, flash or do something to show me the issue.  Detroit provides idiot lights for drivers; you guys are smarter, so why can't you provide an idiot notice to your users?   Very respectfully, Larry Show More

The trim tool will only select sketch profiles that are continuous and in which end points are coincident. This is unlike any other creation tool where extrude, revolve, patch, etc, will intelligently pick and use a region of overlapping curves. Show More

Please make User Parameters (currently defined & maintained in the Model workspace) available in the CAM workspace as well.   User Parameters are an awesome capability! One way that I use them is to store the dimensions of the stock that I am currently using. These dimensions are tied to Sketches, so that a single change causes the entire project to automatically resize appropriately. I use both ArtCAM-Standard 2017 and Fusion 360 to create designs and tool paths for my CNC Router.   I would like to share tools (i.e. Cutters or bits) between the two Autodesk applications.  I use ArtCAM for more artistic types of designs and Fusion 360 for more CAD type parts.  Since the output I use for both is Gcode to run on my CNC, I dislike having to create duplicate tools in each program's tool library.  I have quite a few bits and have implemented my own tool numbers and labels for them.  I, like most, buy my bits from a number of different suppliers, and most of my bits are not included in the default tool library provided in each program.   Since Autodesk has access to the file format for both tool libraries, it should be straightforward to allow for exporting and importing the tool library into a common file format or at least synchronizing the tool library between the two applications.  Based on other forums I follow, there are quite a few customers that use both ArtCAM and Fusion 360.  Importing and exporting to a format such as excel or CSV would help, although a format that can handle complex bit geometry would be preferred (could still be done in CSV or Excel).  Both ArtCAM and Fusion 360 allow for custom bit geometry, as well as feed and speed data to be stored.   Of course integration among all applicable Autodesk applications should be the goal, ArtCAM and Fusion 360 are what I am currently using. When you make an object of feature, it shows up in the timeline, and depending on what it is it also shows up in the browser.    Also, each feature that goes in the timeline also goes into the Model Parameters, as would be expected for true parametric modeling. The problem comes when you need to actually find this feature within the paramters. They are currently presented as a basic drop down list, without color coding, or exslucion based on what you are working on. In large models, finding the feature parameters you were just working on can be a bear. Often, we may want to define a parameter based on a function or variable, but the parameter is not so important that it needs to be favorited for future access.   I propose that when you right click a feature in the timeline (or in in the browser depending on the feature) you get an option for 'Find in Parameters' in addition to 'Find in Timeline' and 'Find in Browser.'   Clicking 'Find in Parameters' will open up the parameter window and automaticlly scroll to the feature, Expand any tree structure it is contained within, and highlight it so it is easily identifiable. When you currently draw a horizontal or vertical line in sketch, if it happens to be coincident to another vertical or horizontal line, F360 will automatically insert a perpendicular constraint.   This makes sense if the existing line is not horizontal or vertical, but I think it's a big assumption that the vertical line I'm drawing should be perpendicular to the one that exists. I would think it should gain a horizontal/vertical constraint instead.   Horizontal and vertical lines should be treated as special when they are drawn.   I hope that makes sense - and feel free to offer a reason why the existing behavior is better - but I'm always deleting perpendicular constraints and replacing them.   J.     Show More

While Fusion splines have tangent and smooth handles and constraints the workflow is labor intensive and prone to be hard to use when for example you encounter sketch engine solver bugs or issues.   So below is a design with half a model. To make it somewhat usable everything has to be constraint - that means for each half of the sketch all relevant G1 G2 handles have to be taken care off. Thats a lot of extra work. In addition the major shortcomming of fit point based splines is adjusting one handle of one point affects the complete curve. Thats rather terrible when when you created a nice profile because now you have to enjoy adjusting everything else as well to make it fit again.     A much better appraoch would be to work with two halfs and span a blend curve inbetween like I did with Moi here which is a common workflow in any other surface modeler as well. The advantage is that I only have to deal with the points of the half side and the blend will update automatically.     In the example above when I change the curve that is right above the nose also the cuvres aling the nose will change - not good at all.       This is a duplicate request because the initial first idea is from  ‎11-12-2013 and the second time I asked for it was from 07-26-2014. We have now 18-6-2015. Hi all   Why is there no way to disable or delete the 2 default tool libraries 'sample' and 'Vendor'?   This really cutter up everything, even more so because they expand and show themselves EVERY time you open up the 'tool bibrary manager' or if you want to select tools, it shows a lot of tools I don't want to see as a professional.   might seem as a small thing, but for CAM professionals, a good, easy and healthy tool library is the backbone of good machining   Please make it possible to delete theese, or at least give us the ability to turn them off, in the new 'getting started' window or something   As of now I do this below, if anyone also is getting crazy about this! If I try to delete a dimension that's being used somewhere else, I get this warning: "This dimension is referenced by a parameter in an equation.  Are you sure you want to delete"   I would like to see a feature that tells me where it's being referenced.  This can be hard to figure out.  Either a button on the warning dialog box that opens up a window listing where it's being used, or a list right in the dialog box.   Similarly, I'd like to be able to open the Parameters Window and search.  Search on a number, dimension ID (d234), parameter name, comment end feature name ("Extrude1").   Show More

I find myself spending significant time right clicking features in the timeline, looking for "Roll History Marker Here" entry*. I use this entry a lot and I was looking for a shortcut to make it much easier. Pressing a shortcut is quite significantly simpler then right clicking and moving the mouse 5 entries up after you visually found the entry, especially if you use this command a lot, which i find myself doing. * it's the 5th place of the context menu (I don't use supress often, and never used convert to DM feature, so for me personally it should be 3rd, if not first. I always find it difficult to remember exactly what I've named my parameters, and it's a P.I.A. to have bring up the parameter windows again.   Also, you don't seem to be able to just leave it up (and it's "Yuuuuuuge"!).   Would be better if when you start typing in a dimension box, F360 tries to guess which parameter you are looking for and give you a scroll list of all those that match. Would also be nice if you could just bring up the whole list from the field where you're trying to enter a parameter. Show More

Lots of other CAD programs have the ability to directly create a line with a line at a given offset. For example, an inner and outer wall.   Furthermore, the ability to specify "inner", "outer" (or "left"/"right")  and/or "both" (symetrical) offsets would be nice, too.   Another option to leave or remove the "base" line would be good to. (Maybe you wanted to keep ONLY the offset line, or the outer lines, but not the middle one).   On that note - inner/outer/symetrical options (particularly "symetrical") options would be nice options for the existing sketch "offset" feature.   Another good option would be to "automatically" create the "base" line as a construction line. This would mean I would (for example) create a "base" line as a midpoint (which would become only a construct line) - and left-and-right "symetrical" outer lines to create a "wall" with thickness. Afterwards, I could only change the (middle/base) "construction" line - and the outer lines would parametrically fix themsleves.   Right now - I often have to draw a line, make an offset to the line (on one side), then an offset to the other side, then delete the center line to create a "wall with thickness". Feed optimization in fusion 360 is primitive, clunky and borderline useless. The big issues are:  1) The only interior corners checkbox isn't useful because it will still do exterior corners depending on reduced feed radius. I've found reduced feed radius overrides only interior corners to any corner that is smaller than defined.    2) If you bite the bullet and raise reduced feed radius and force the feed optimization to go around all corners smaller than defined, it slows down on exterior corners and has caused overcut. On exterior corners it needs to increase federate.   3) When compensation type in control is checked it disables Maximum Directional Change and the only way to optimize interior corners is to raise the reduced feed radius to larger than the radius of the arc. But that leads to Issue 1 and 2   I use cutter comp on every contour and have to hold tight tolerances on internal and external profiles. I know there is linearization of contours and all, but feed optimization needs to be based on a ratio of tool cutter radius and the radius of the profile it is cutting. Increasing feed on exterior radii and decreasing feed on internal radii. Show More

The actual way, we can't hold the Rendered image to make an animation in Fusion 360. Automatic we lost the render when we change to the animation tab from Render tab. The Experts from Autodesk Fusion 360 can create a by pass (a connection) in the Render Tab to bring it (animation) into the Render page, then we can do the animation with Rendered image with very good quality and the final work will be published with the best visual. We need some more options to control thread passes in the thread turning operation.   When choosing a reduced infeed I need to be able to specify something to control the depth of the first pass.  Increasing the number of passes with the current method of factoring a reduced thread depth has very little effect first pass depth.  In this instance, I was cutting 4tpi Acme which are about .135"-.140" deep threads.  The first pass was approx .03" deep.  I understand there are some tools that can handle this, but many single point tools in difficult materials can't, and as stated changing the number of passes has little effect.       Show More

Fusion fails at making aa surface extrusion when the taper radius is 90. Fusion changes the length of the extrusion surface based on the taper radius. I would have to adjust the extrusion direction to + or - values to change the extrusion direction and this should be done via taper.   Take a look at the Alias Draft Surface a basic surface extrude. You define the length and rotation. Done. The sketch pallet is about third wider than it needs to be and it takes up screen space better used.  The actual active portion of the menu is the small icon boxes while the rest is dedicated to labels.  Why aren't the labels active as well, it's a **** site easier to locate the titles than the tiny stick-figure icons provided.  Maybe a competition twixt programmers as to who can most efficiently achieve changes to a design without constraints blowing the whole thing up would engender more attention to this aspect of the application. I'm missing roughing strategies more and more when im doing CAM work with fusion360. The ability to do deep slot plunge milling with a large insert tool that is not center cutting for example. Something like http://www.mscsoftware.com/product/adams would be incredibly useful and probably much easier to build than FAE and other simulators.   The ideal for me would be something where we could build a mechanical design, setup sensors and actuators, link that stuff to a controller simulation, press a button and have it work. As the title suggests, currently we can't delete nor rename the default named views i.e. TOP, FRONT, RIGHT, HOME, which doesn't make any sense since they shouldn't be any different than views created by the user. Basically, all views should be equal and should have the same right mouse button menu.   It would also be nice to be able to re-arrange named views. Currently they are sorted by creation time and users cannot manually re-order them, which isn't ideal.   Finally, it would be good if we could create sub-folders inside the named views folder, for better managements.   Thank you Show More

I find myself constantly accidentally selecting SELECTABLE/UNSELECTABLE when using the right-click drop down and there is NO indication as to what is going on once this happens~!!!   ITS MADDENING. Can it get its own darn hotkey and be removed from the right click dropdown altogether?  Also, while we are at it, exactly how do we indicate or show what SELECTABLE mode or status a particular component or body is in the tree??  Perhaps even a warning if you hit SELECTABLE by accident that says "Hey, you just accidentally made this item UNSELECTABLE and you are going to be driven crazy, you SURE you want to do this?" Can we also give FIND IN BROWSER and FIND IN WINDOW its own hotkey? Oh, I would pay money for that.. Very very useful.. WORST part was, I could also see no indication I made the item UNSELECTABLE in the MODEL HISTORY... Was very odd.  ALSO, I have no idea why you would make something UNSELECTABLE... why wouldn't you just HIDE it?  Maybe its just my workflow.. I have literally NEVER used it except on ACCIDENT. 😋 Am I getting too existential here? This is an amazing piece of software and I appreciate all the work that has gone into it. Here are few suggestions that would make my work easier.    A tool isometric view button would be really useful.   In the tool library, storing the maximum ramp angle of a tool would simplify things for most operations.   In 2D bore add an option to bore from Bottom to top (this can be done with a thread milling cycle but is not ideal)   In the face function add in a spiral facing option. (side note, why does the face function always use a square or rectangular bounding box even when round stock is selected in the setup?)   In the drill cycle the bore milling function does not pick up a diameter off the selected face or hole which is kind of weird. In the same function it asks for a Pitch as in thread milling it would be more useful to ask for a ramp angle.     Show More

Hello Fusion360 Team! I'm really loving this software, I am an experienced rhino user, but when I use Fusion360 I miss the rhino scaling tools. It would be really handy have a 3 point reference scaling tool: 1st point=origin, 2nd point=reference on original size, 3rd point= reference on scaled size. Also I'd like to have the ability to scale sketches on 1 or 2 dimensions. When making a copy of a Drawing this copied Drawing stays linked to the first design. If there were a 'pack and go' idea for copying a design with his drawing, this would save a lot of time. Instead making new drawings again for designs with minor changes from copied previous one.   It seems there's is a workaround for this. With a single drawing linked to a single component it seems to be possible to copy the design with his drawing, rename it and use it without the link to the design copied from.    This would be the scenario... Part A with Drawing A you want to copy without making a new drawing from copied Part A. To do this: (There is the possibility to save a copy of Part A and rename it to Part B. This isn't possible for the drawing made from it)   1. Download Drawing A as a Fusion 360 Archive from the A360 hub making sure the latest Part A version is updated.   2. Rename this Drawing A.f3z Fusion archive to Drawing B.f3z to clarify the difference.   3. Upload Drawing B.f3z tru the Data panel in the Fusion360 app.(it does NOT work uploading to the A360 hub). This way Fusion 360 extracting the Drawing B.f3z archive to a new 'Part A.f3d v1' with a referenced 'Drawing A.f2d v1'. (you won't see the file extensions)   4. Rename 'Part A.f3d v1' to 'Part B.f3d v1' 5. Rename 'Drawing A.f2d v1' to 'Drawing B.f2d v1'   6. Now you have a new set 'Design with Drawing' without the link to Part A where copied from.   Show More

I love it!   Problem: Many times when i make lines and other sketch features, the 'quick measures box' are in the way Also when zooming if the mouse ends up in any of the boxes, the zoom stops....   Example: Example on picture, I try clicking on the Vertical black line, but the red 0deg box are in the way   Possible solutions: If this is a bug, It would be nice if it was fixed, It could have something to do with me running UHD screen resulution?   Otherwise it would be nice if the boxes were moved further away, why even have them close to and jump randomly around?   BTW, It would be nice for more support for UHD (example: data panel objects, view cube and buttons in bottom are very small)   Thanks for listening!       Show More

Emission shaders allow designers to simulate light boxes and build 3 key light rigs to render better than just with a single HDRI IBL.   For this purpose it would be high amazing when in render mode we can move rotate objects like those mesh lights in the image below   this would give designers more control over scene design and prevent them from being stuck with this single HDRI approach. Also as a side not IBL has to be able to be fully tunred off!   Here is a scene how I set this up with a backdrop and three key lights and some minimal IBL for the fill light - much better results. Currently when F360 is not connected to the internet a pop up appears to that effect that is SO BLOCKING that it's impossible even to switch to another software program!! (Never seen anything like that in any software program - should be illegal.)   Frankly this is a huge pain in the a***. It's nice that there's a popup and good that there's a red dot that lingers to remind. But there should be no obligation to have to close the popup in order to continue working nor any need to close it just to switch to another app. Fact is F360 works great offline. So, I've created a nice drawer in fusion - it has 4 sides and a bottom, I'm happy with the joinery details (rabbets, tongues, grooves, dove tails etc) and I now want to use the same drawer design in different places in the cabinet; different front height, different side height, and different depth - the fundamental joinery design will not change.  The way to do this is, of course, to change the parameters, but, d'oh,  F360 doesn't make the cloned profiles or associated design history available  - If I want different sized drawers, I currently have to redesign the drawer, but with very little benefit of the work that I've already done.   My suggestion: When you copy a component and "paste new", include all the dependent profiles and parameters along with the new component, not just the component.  Probably not a bad idea to automatically put all the timeline features into a timeline group too.   You would now have a cloned component that you can, not only, change via parameters but you can modify/add features without affecting the original component.  For example, supposed I need to modify the profile of the drawer sides to accommodate a different style of drawer slide (because the drawer is now too big, or too small for the original drawer slide), with a parameterized clone, I should now be able to make whatever adjustments I need without going back to the drawing board.   The changes to F360 ought to be relatively straightforward, because it should be just a question of finding the dependant profiles and including them in the copy, history for the new component starts from fresh when you paste new anyway..     Regards Peter Show More

Hey all,   this should be more a discussion basic than a de facto idea. It's all about "the rest of Fusion360" - means everything besides the actual software itself which is your Dashboard.   First of all let me state one important note that i beg to remember througout this post: I'm totally fine with cloud saving and handling of files and don't want to have anything completely offline. I just wanted to make this clear at the beginning.   ...but 😉   After weeks of working with Fusion360 i can't get used to what you call the dashboard and the way files and other content gets handled. Though i get your idea i still feel completely uncomfortable when importing files, moving files around, renaming drawings,.. .well i think stuff that you do every day on normal software and you also do on cloud software. My main concern is the fact that the complete Web Application is more like simple web pages than what could be a web application in times of HTML5, CSS3 and modern JS. Pages sometimes load long, Popup windows even longer and don't even think of having a small network problem while you're trying to fiddle around in the dashboard.   I think there could be a way to handle this smarter. You should be able to create a web app that is fun to work with. A web app that is more of an application than a website. I know that data should be in sync asap and i also know that this is difficult to achieve but i also think (caution it's getting technical) it doesn't need page loads when clicking through folder structures. You sould load the structure (XML, json, whatever) and store it locally and only submit changes to the server. Then browsing could completely be done locally and when someone renames a files, creates a new one or whatever this could be sent to the server. Conflict handling should still be possible this way (.e.g. "renaming failed, someone else already renamed the file faster than you - go get some power ups to be faster next time"). Also all the UI stuff is of course great to do in HTML5 these days but this could all be stored locally and have only json calls or something else do the job to get fresh content data from the server or write data back to the server.    /end technical   This would make using Fusion360 a snap and not to be seperated from a completely local app. Data loading could much more be done in the background and there would be much less waiting for pages to load.   And if you're already there rebuilding the dashboard: Please update it's design too. Unfortunately it really looks like this early 21st century web portal software with left sidebar, content, right sidebar. Theres so great design ideas everywhere...    I hope you guys don't get that all wrong - you're doing such a great job and Fusion360 is way the best solution that i've seen so far (well at least for what i need) and the way you listen to users is just amazing and will be a good example for other ones that are far behind Autodesk in this part - i'm sure. I just hope to shake some minds with my post - i guess there's lots of room for improvement still and as good as we all are we can still get better.   Show More

I inserted assembly from Solidworks that contains electric motor. When I tried to assign correct mass to this subassembly that I got from motor documentation I could not. Fusion does not have mass overwrite as other CAD software have. You only can assign one particular material to component that will not work for multi material component. Please enable the selection of intersection selection of dimension tools. Filters can be turned on and off in AutoCAD snapping to selected point on a vector. Dimensioning from a edge to an intersection of centre line at an angle with vertical or horizontal is not possible  as the selection is made at the end of the centre line and thus the dimension or hole position is off. Holes at an angle is seen as a oval and centre marking is not possible.   Great product !!!!!!!! Show More

Allow advanced setting in Post processors (fadal) when using multiple WCS outputs to keep tool down at clearance height between WCS moves.    Current state:  between each operation posted to a multiple WCS posting, the tool will retract to tool change height before moving to the next WCS.    Preferred state:  Allow an option WITH WARNING, to keep tool at clearance height between wcs operation moves.  This would be a check box or drop down in the Post settings of setup.  Not during the posting process.   Although the warning would be shown when posting the NC code.  Show More

Direct Integration of common 3D scanning and acquisition platforms and devices would greatly add to Fusion 360's continued place as the central software from which all CAD activity can take place. Directly being integrated from Scan to print and scan to CAM would be an amazing achievement. I'm admittedly very VERY new to F360, however have been using Cad/Cam for 25 years.   Is "chain select" hiding somewhere that I can't find it?  If not... please consider adding.  In my previous CAD program, it was one of a handful of commands I used most.   When geometry gets complex with many elements, it is often the quickest (and/or only) way to find gaps or flaws.   Also, there is nothing like selecting one element in a piece of geometry and touching a shortcut key and having an entire profile instantly selected.   Thank you! I am working through some drawings, and finding that there are a number of features that would be very helpful to see added to the program:   1. Copy & Paste - whether I am copying notes, view scales/titles, surface finish, hole call ups etc, the addition of a copy/paste feature within the drawing environment would be a huge time saver. 2. Drawing view titles - complete with scale. I'll frequently use multiple views of objects in an assembly, currently I will type this all out by hand, a time consuming process if I have a lot of views & part details. (see copy/paste request above!) 3. Hole call ups - here all threads, counter-bores etc need to be typed out manually. Easy to make a mistake here and no continuity with the current version of the model. 4.  Weld symbols! 5. Dimension text orientation, purely horizontal text can make for a cluttered workspace. 6. Text insertion points - center justified text should have a center insertion point. 7. Insert DXF/sketch reference - an example of when this would be useful is producing a drawing illustrating plates that make up a weldment. These plates are typically produced by a CNC operated plasma torch, but not all holes and features in the final model will be included in the pattern. It is easy enough to create a new sketch within the model and project faces to generate my DXF, removing project features if required, but I can't insert this sketch into my drawing to include QC dimensions. 8. View alignment aids such as construction lines. 9. Tables you can edit.  How do you add notes on anything but material and assembly name? 10. Tables combined for multiple views - when dealing with multiple components and views, attaching a new table for each component isn't practical. 11. Bubbles you can renumber. There is a basic issue with practicality in how one creates and controls components. Sometimes a part creation for a simple object like a plate or structural member in a weldment will mean that multiple occurrences of it are separate bodies or components, and being forced to assign unique bubbles to it isn't ideal. An example is a plate that is essentially 2D object, thus "right hand/left hand" occurrences are identical. Show More

I am tired of slow CAD software. SolidEdge is slow. SolidWorks is slow. Inventor is slow. Onshape is slow. Fushion 360 is extra slow. Why can I play a game with millions of polygons rendered, shaded, and physics simulated all at once but my cad program grinds to a halt when I try to draw a circle.    Basically I'm saying I won't accept any excuses for speed. Not when I can shoot imaginary projectiles through imaginary cloth and see imaginary rips, tears and fluttering debris at 60fps and then go to fusion 360 and can't drill ten holes without it thinking real hard about it. I know all the reasons why it's slower. I'm just saying that while they may be true reasons, they aren't good reasons. They can all be worked around.   When I can drill three thousand filleted holes wrapped on a curved surface in under thirty seconds the software will be fast enough. Honestly, if this software could do this right now I would toss solidworks in the bin, I would campaign at companies I don't even work for for them to switch. I would shave my head and become a fusion 360 monk, spreading the good news throughout engineering offices everywhere.   Show More

Custom braised or insert tooling are in widespread use by CNC shops around the country and the world. For Example http://www.vexorcwt.com/  [I am in no way affiliated with or have used this vendor for tooling. I have just found them with a quick google search for an example]     It would be great to bring in custom tools represented by any geometry, preferably 3D models or 2D sketches, where a profile edge can be indicated as the cutting edge, the revolutions axis can be mentioned in the definition. The tool should have all of the heights parameterized as necessary to define and propagate NC code.    As an important note to the reader, currently, we can get by with using any odd tool definition to be able to produce accurate and reliable NC code, all without true simulation, with no resemblance to the tool it actually intends to represent, where it's true definition is contained in the description and certainly not the thumbnail.   With Regards, Matt Harrison | MSH   Show More

Ok, so this has bitten me a couple of times-   I do the bulk of my CAD/CAM at home, in my comfy chair, with the HVAC and the stereo and the nice desk and my retina iMac because that display is luscious. At the shop next to the Speedio, I've got my ThinkPad for making tweaks and spitting out code. It's sweet not to have to lug the laptop around anymore!   PROBLEM: I forget to save/close a file at home that I'm working on... get to the shop... ouch! I only have access to the last saved variant! Fusion darn well knows I've got an updated version open on another computer, right?   REQUEST: When I open a file that is open on another instance of Fusion under my account, give me a dialog box that says "Save and Open From Other Computer." Basically hit save on that other instance, and open the latest version on my machine.   That would be awesome! Thanks!   Show More

Hello   I'm really struggling with the inspection tools within F360.   Would it be possible to have 'apparent' options available within the inspect tools for example:- I am looking at my design and need to find the distance between two points. Now, if I choose the two lines there is no guarantee that the lines I have chosen will be in the same plane which I am viewing the model. Hence the phrase above'   In addition, would it be possible to increase the functionality of the inspection tools generally -at the moment they are too rigid/regimented in their operation   Thanks Matt       Show More

There are points in the design process I'd like to have saved so that I can go forward and experiment knowing that I can easily returned to a desirable state if things go awry.     I know this is somewhat a time line issue, but I don't always want to scroll backwards and determine exactly where I need to be.  Using command-z is tiresome as well if one wants to go back more than a couple steps.   Why can't we have an option of saving a particular stage/state of the model that can be returned to with a few clicks.? In certain graphic design software, and other 3d modelling packages, there is a duploicate keyboard shortcut (usually CTRL+D on Windows, Command+D on Mac). Typically, it simply duplicates an item in place. However, if the duplicate shortcut is used immediately after a copy/move command, it repeats the move/copy as a pattern, incrementing the position of each subsequent body the amount of the original move, in the same direction (and with the same rotation).
