Improve Fusion Surface Extrude

Improve Fusion Surface Extrude

Fusion fails at making aa surface extrusion when the taper radius is 90.

Fusion changes the length of the extrusion surface based on the taper radius.

I would have to adjust the extrusion direction to + or - values to change the extrusion direction and this should be done via taper.

Take a look at the Alias Draft Surface a basic surface extrude. You define the length and rotation. Done. Easy.

So Fusion should be able to:

1. Extrude a surface only as long as the given distance

2. Rotate that surface freele along 360 degree

+ Extrude along vector or edge. I know this is similar to sweep, but you're looking for it while extruding, you think about sweeping later ! It seems to me it would be more natural this way.

@brianrepp so Fusion devs realize this tool is missing a major option? Will this be soon implemented?

@cekuhnen I changed the status from "new" to "gathering support" to help encourage community support.  Once the team has officially reviewed the idea it will be moved to the appropriate category whether that's "accepted", "future consideration" or "archived".

In general we're working to get the Ideastation running efficiently, part of that means doing some scrubbing of the significant amount of "new" ideas.  At this stage I'm mainly looking for things that either need more info, have multiple ideas per post and need to be split up, or are a bug.

@brianrepp I see - I hope this will be adjusted because this is kinda a basic sueface function everybody offers but not Fusion.

It would be nice to specify a direction when extruding. I don't always want to extrude perpendicular to a surface. I can do it right now, but it's multiple steps.

Adding to advanced surfacing list.
