Actually, I think a more generic feature request that would give you this as well would be to allow the inspect tool to have multiple lines selected to get length. I think that would have quite a few other uses.
I was able to get this value easily by simply taking and extruding the path of the belt and then using the inspect tool by clicking on the side of the 'belt' in this picture below
