It is becoming more common for smaller projects to include their specifications within their Architectural drawings, etc.   To create Specifications on these projects, the current workflow is to create a fake spec book by clipping the drawings into a PDF, formatted to look like a spec book so that Specifications will import it.   Please allow the creation of Specifcations (and AutoSpecs) directly from Sheets. Larger projects like the one I'm on have multiple engineers and specification books, and they often have overlapping specification numbers. Having a feature to allow separating the different books into collections like with sheets would greatly help organization and keep scopes clearly delineated. There is currently no way to download the latest version of the the entire spec book. You need to download each spec section individually. We would like the ability to select and download multiple spec sections at the same time. Show More

Our project has nine (9) Specification books, but because they share the same Spec Numbers, not all can be uploaded into the Specifications tool. As a result, eight of the nine are stored in the Files tool instead of being centralized in Specifications tool. The request is for functionality similar to Sheets' collections, allowing separate specification collections so different spec sets can coexist without conflict. Currently, to delete a specification section in Autodesk Build, users are required to delete the entire set it was a part of and reupload the specifications without the section. This process is both time-consuming and inefficient.   I propose adding a "delete" button within the "edit section details" menu. This will allow users to delete individual specification sections directly, eliminating the need for reuploading and saving time. Show More

There are currently no markup tools when reviewing specifications.  Would be helpful to be able to add notes, link RFI responses that relate to specifications, etc. For example, I recently had an RFI response that changed items on drawings but also what is called out in the specs.  When a team member refers back to the specs later on, they need to be able to see a note in the appropriate place that notifies them of the change. Many specs are reused across multiple projects (standard construction specs, general specs, etc.), but ACC forces teams to re-upload/publish the same specifications on every single project, which is a huge time-waster. We need an Account Admin - Library - Specifications section where standard specs can be maintained once and then imported into projects, so teams stop duplicating effort. Using specifications for the first time and we are a subcontract.  High level we don't use all the specifications for submission long term. We use it for tracking purposes on submittals that are required sub-tiers below our company.    The main issue that I have is that when generating the submittals from the specifications,  you can't read the specifications description without editing it or hovering over the description.  I believe that this should be a wrap text portion or expand.  Something to allow us to read the description when generating.  Like selecting certain submittal portions only.  It takes alot longer to sort.  If there was a way that you can see the physical spec like the page when you select a generated submittal.    Show More

Add the ability to export draft submittals from the Specifications Submittals Generation list to Excel so they can be imported to other systems or shared with interested parties outside of Forma Build. Not all companies use the Forma Build Submittals module to manage their Submittals. Show More

Add edit capability to Specifications, including the ability to edit what set a page belongs to. Currently there is no way to go back and add a new spec section for the commissioning documents or remove them from a section. Your only option is to delete the entire specification version and then reupload. You can’t delete pages and you can’t split up or add additional spec sections after publishing. So, if you make a mistake you must go through the whole painstaking process of sorting everything correctly (3-4 hour process for our project). Users cannot delete pages from a set or in general. You have to delete an entire set to accomplish any deleting. Cannot delete blank pages easily during the upload process. Please improve the editing to allow users to remove the irrelevant pages. Show More

Allow users to view the pages for previous Spec versions. When they go into version sets and try clicking on a previous version to view it, it does not show any pages for that version. You can only view the latest set. Show More

Please add an Export Publish Log option for Specifications same as export Sheets log option. This feature is critical for project documentation and control because specifications are as important as drawings. While the 'Sheets' module allows users to export a log to excel showing drawing numbers and issuance versions, the 'Specifications' module lacks a similar capability. An exportable publish log for specifications would eliminate manual administrative work by providing the same functionality already available in the Sheets module. Show More
