Problem statement: When using Revit Decals in source models, they can be displayed correctly in the "FORMA Model Coordination Viewer", when the model is published as NWC. However, when those models are later federated in NWF and exported or shared as NWD, the decals/logos are no longer visible in the "FORMA Model Coordination Viewer".
Current issue / challenge: This creates a limitation in federated model workflows, especially when visual identity, signage, labels, or simple graphic references are required in the viewer. It causes inconsistency between the source model display and the federated model display in the "FORMA Model Coordination Viewer".
Current workaround: We currently have to model the logos or graphics manually so they remain visible after federation. This is manageable only when the image is very simple. For complex logos or graphics, this workaround becomes impractical because of the time required.
Desired outcome: Allow Decals / logos to remain visible in federated Navisworks workflows in the "FORMA Model Coordination Viewer", including when models are combined in NWF and published/viewed as NWD. The expected behavior would be consistent decal visualization between individual source model publishing and federated model publishing.
Business value:
Improves fidelity between source and federated models
Reduces manual remodeling effort
Saves time on coordination workflows
Makes logos, signage, and other visual references usable in federated models
Improves usability of FORMA for clients who rely on visual representation without adding unnecessary modeling effort
