The Correspondence module offers a strong foundation for managing project communication; however, several limitations are affecting adoption. The following enhancements would improve usability & better align the module with industry workflows: Signatures – Add native support for email signatures within the module to streamline communication without relying on Outlook or manual uploads. Currently, sending correspondence without a signature can appear informal or unprofessional, depending on the recipient. Recipient Directory - Introduce the ability to create a recipient directory. While selecting recipients by user, role, or company is currently possible, additional options to streamline recipient selection would be beneficial. Furthermore, enabling the addition of recipients to correspondence after it has been sent, similar to functionality in "Transmittals", would enhance flexibility. Project Email Address – Introduce a seamless connection between Microsoft Outlook & ACC Correspondence via an Outlook plugin. The plugin should include built-in prompts to select the target project when sending an email. This would eliminate the need to manually enter the project email address & ensure that all important emails are captured in ACC as a single source of truth. Existing third-party integrations often involve additional costs or provide limited support. Image Support in Content – Enable images to be embedded directly into Correspondence content, rather than requiring uploads to Autodesk Docs & then referenced to Correspondence. While attachments are not currently supported in Correspondence, allowing cut/paste directly into the content would provide a more seamless option without compromising standardisation. Search & Filter - Enhance search & filter functionality to attachments, starting with vector PDFs to align with the search & filter capabilities in "Files". This should also be extended to other file formats, particularly native Autodesk formats. Project Templates – Include Correspondence settings, particularly "Correspondence Types", within project templates to reduce administration during project setup & ensure greater standardisation. Correspondence API's - Introduce ACC API support for the Correspondence module, starting with the ability to export correspondence.
