Currently, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) does not provide an in-built mechanism for automatic reminders or escalations across its modules. In real-world project management, many workflows—such as Issues, Reviews, Forms, and Submittals—are bound by Turnaround Times (TATs) and compliance SLAs. Example: In the Issues module, for a Safety Category Issue with a TAT of 3 days: Day 2: An auto-reminder should be sent to the Assignee (and optionally to the Creator) if the issue remains open. After TAT breach: An auto-escalation should be sent to the Reporting Manager of the Assignee (or other designated personnel) based on a pre-defined escalation matrix. The Reminder & Escalation Matrix should: Be configurable per module and per category/type within that module. Example: In Issues, separate matrices for Safety, Quality, Coordination issues. In Forms, different matrices per form type (e.g., Safety Checklist, Work Inspection). In Submittals, different matrices per submittal type. In Reviews, different matrices per review type. Allow applying a single matrix to multiple categories/types for efficiency. Support multi-level escalations (e.g., Manager → Department Head → Project Director). Allow custom intervals for reminders (e.g., 24 hours before TAT breach, 1 day after breach, weekly follow-ups until closure). Send notifications via email, in-app, and mobile push. Why This Is Important: Enforces compliance with safety, quality, and contractual obligations. Reduces manual follow-up effort for project managers and coordinators. Improves accountability through systematic escalation to higher authorities. Minimizes delays in critical project deliverables. Enhances user adoption of ACC by aligning with common real-world project management needs. High demand: This feature has been requested by 15+ clients across different sectors, proving it’s a widely needed enhancement. Impact Without This Feature: Delays in issue closure, review completion, and form submission. Increased risk of safety & quality non-compliance. Heavy reliance on manual tracking outside ACC (Excel, emails). Reduced effectiveness of ACC as a central project management platform.
