Description I would like to suggest a feature enhancement for Autodesk Forma Build Forms. Currently, the Table section in Forms provides several data types, but an Attachment/File data type is not available. Adding an Attachment data type within a table would make it easier to capture and associate supporting documents, images, or files with individual table rows.   Proposed Enhancement Add an Attachment/File data type as an available column type within the Table section of Forms. For example, a table could contain: Item Description Status Attachment Inspection Item 1 Concrete work Completed 📎 Photo/Document Inspection Item 2 Electrical work Pending 📎 Photo/Document Inspection Item 3 Finishing work Completed 📎 Photo/Document Each row should allow users to upload or attach one or more files independently.   Key Benefits Allows supporting documents or photos to be associated directly with the relevant table row. Reduces the need for separate attachment fields outside the table. Improves traceability between an item and its supporting evidence. Makes inspection, quality-control, punch-list, and documentation workflows more efficient. Reduces ambiguity when multiple items require different supporting files. Suggested Functionality The Attachment data type could support: Uploading photos, PDFs, and other supported file formats. One or multiple attachments per table row. Previewing or downloading attachments. Removing or replacing attachments. Applying the same attachment permissions and storage behavior already available in Forms. Retaining attachments when the form is submitted and available when reviewing the form response. Example Use Case For a construction inspection form, a table may contain multiple inspection items. Each item may require photographic evidence. Instead of having a single attachment field at the end of the form, users could attach the relevant photo directly to the corresponding inspection item. As we currently see it, the documents that a subcontractor uploads into TradeTapp as part of a prequal request are housed in the program and on your servers, but for us to view them, they must be downloaded? (when you click on the attachment in the program, it doesn't allow preview, but rather immediately downloads)   Subcontractors are sharing sensitive information and having to download before previewing adds risk to the process. Sometimes users create a project without selecting a template. It would be very helpful if you could set a Project Template as the default. When a user creates a new project, this template would then be pre-selected automatically, so no project gets created accidentally without applying a template's standard structure, permissions, and settings. Currently, there is no option to bulk download photos or attachments linked to issues. Users need to access the Issues Detail Report as a workaround to review the attachments. It would be a valuable improvement to have a bulk download option for issue attachments, allowing users to quickly download and review all photos/files associated with selected issues or an entire project. If you're checking emails on your phone and get a notification with a link, it should allow you to open the app to that RFI, form, etc. When clicking the link, it will open on your default browser on your phone. It will prompt if you want to open the app, but then it takes you to the home page. It would be beneficial to have a link to open it on the app and have it go directly to that section/tool. In the photos tool, the thumbnails of the photos only show a small portion of the photo, not the whole picture. It can be hard to find which photo to open if you're missing a lot of the picture in the thumbnail. Show More

When creating custom fields in the Assets or Issues modules, there is no efficient way to apply custom fields to multiple types or categories. The custom field and its category assignments are configured in separate, disconnected steps. After defining the field, an administrator must navigate away and map it to the relevant asset categories (or issue categories) in a second operation.   Ideally, users would be able to bulk apply a custom field to multiple types/categories in these modules. This functionality would be useful during the creation of custom fields, issue types/categories, or asset categories. It would also be useful midway through a project when reviewing the custom fields tab. This ability could be added to the custom field creation pop-up window or the flyout panel that shows up when a custom field is selected. These windows would show each issue/asset category with checkboxes to select which ones to add the custom field to apply to. This is especially burdensome during project start up or mid-flight if lots of issue/asset categories exist.  Show More

In the Assets settings, Forms can be automatically linked to asset categories, however they is no task assigned the notifies anyone that the form needs to be filled out. So here are a couple ideas. 1. Make the form a required task in the assets detail window. 2. Create triggers for forms with statuses. So when a asset changes from Deliver to pre installation, a task is automatically assigned to fill out a form. Let's get this one! Show More

In the Issues module, single-select dropdown custom fields with long option strings are truncated on the desktop (web) application — text is cut off with an ellipsis and users cannot read the full option label without hovering. The mobile app already handles this correctly by wrapping long text to the next line, giving users the full string before making a selection. For users creating issues with descriptive options — such as multi-word checklist items — this forces users to guess at partially visible text, which undermines confidence in the selection and creates a risk of logging incorrect values. This is especially problematic during active field work when users are moving quickly between issues. The desired outcome is for the desktop web application to match the mobile app's behavior: long dropdown option labels should wrap to additional lines rather than being cut off. Whether this is achieved through dynamic row height in the dropdown list or a tooltip/expand-on-hover approach, the key requirement is that the full text is legible before a selection is made. When creating a table in Forms with more than 5 columns, users must scroll all the way to the right to access the three-dot “More” option for editing. With up to 15 columns (the maximum allowed), this constant scrolling makes editing rows time-consuming and inefficient.     Provide the same three-dot “More” option on the left side of each row. Allow the first column (row heading) to remain locked when scrolling horizontally, so users always know what they are editing.   Show More

We are testing the Excel PCO upload which works well but when we create the Change Order form the PCO we still have to go into each Budget item and copy over the schedule of values. We have change orders with 100+ budget codes and to be able to move them all at once would really speed up the process. Show More

At project startup we test Custom Fields for Issues and then later find they are not useful or required. The only way to discontinue them is go through each Issue type and hide them. When new Issue types are created in that category they are automatically added. Project Admins should have the option to hide Custom Fields no longer need globally, either for the entire project or for an Issue Category. It's frustrating to clean this up continuously, but equally frustrating to have extra fields on the Issue form that we don't need. Show More

To most efficiently work with Issues, we hide fields that are not required. It would be very helpful to Manage Fields for an entire category of Issues, instead of going through each type and repeating the same action over an over again. I've spent several hours doing it this way. Show More

It's great that custom fields were added to submittals, but when you search for a term in a text formatted custom field, it doesn't show the submittal. To me, this defeats the purpose of the custom field. Please make data from text formatted custom fields something that a search in the search bar would pick up and display Show More
