Architects asked my for an inventory table with topographic points coordinates describing land property contours / corners. They want to create a construction site plan on top of geodesic support underlay. I need to extract coordinates for dozens topo points automatically and automatically create a table for that on layout.

When vector printing (pdf) is checked I would like to have everything possible as an vector file. The things that turn a vector to a raster image should be placed as an raster underlay such as shading, shadows, gradients.

We are working on a multiple family project. We want to keep all interior unit in a single ground to copy all over levels. But somehow our members always unground it. We want a way that we can lock unground with a password or somehow to prevent people unground which we want to keep them in a ground.

Would it be possible to institute some system whereby often used small details could become something like keynotes, or large thumbnails, so that could display down the side of the sheet in which they appear. It would make understanding the drawings much faster, for checkers and contractors of smaller projects.

Allow for a dialog box which shows you the construction data of different floor types or different wall types next to each other. This way it is more interesting to select the right construction, and one can easily sort out double uses. Idealy, it would allow to compare also different parameters and values (insulation, ...) of the construction. In short, something as the HP-website for pc's but now for walls and floors.

By upgrading a detail section from 2016 to 2018, (vertical) labels won't be displayed in a view. By exporintg the view to pdf the labels are there! The method we tried is to edit the family, recreate the text label and load it into project. Unfortunately without any result. See video for example.

It would be nice if elements had a set of contextual parameters. A parameter for an element in a specific view. For example a parameter that tells if the element has a tag or not. ( or it lists the amount of tags a certain element has ). The benefit of this would be that filters can become a lot more dynamic. For example, I could have all my rebar be halftone as long as it's not tagged. I know revit CAN do it (in its own way) like with the "Presentation" options for rebar.

Hi It would be great to have the warning messages explained. I am doing a standard PFC150 Column with a PFC150 beam connected with an end plate. This worked in 2017 and now I get the error message "Connection creation failed". However I can see no reason why this will fail and even if I change the member size the error message remain the same. So it would be great to have some way that we can view why a connection failed and suggestions on how to fix the connection Thank you in advance Johannes

A FLOOR SHOULD HAVE DETAILS, THAT IS SHOWING YOU WHAT SO EVER IS CONNECTED AND LINKED TO IT, THAT WILL PROVIDE A PROPER DETAILs TO USERS IF INCASE THEY WANT TO DELETE ANY FLOOR.

In projects like Apartment, Units ( partition wall, furniture, wall based plumbing, fixtures ) are grouped and some part of group are hosted on partition walls. If some part of group are hosted outside the group, it creates lots of problems. Revit can introduce wall property " hosting " to uncheck, Basically a wall type which doesn't allow anything to host on it. specially Inter-tenancy Walls, Load bearing walls etc.

Would be a good idea to use e transmit addin with the central files found in C4R? for now i need to publish the file to team 360, then download it and then detche it etc..

Currently in Revit 2018 if I load a CAD Link without defined geographic coordinates system (only numeric values), I can assign and edit Named Positions to Links as Revit was doing in previos versions; but as soon as I acquire shared position from a dwg with defined coordinates I cant modify or add named positions... the buttons get grayed and unavailable. This is extremely undesired when working with residential complexes projects.
