💡 Idea Description: Creating filters in Revit is something every modeler does constantly — especially when working with phases, view templates, or graphic overrides. However, one major inefficiency is the lack of a “Select All Model Categories” button in the Filters dialog. Right now, if you hit “Check All,” Revit selects everything — including Detail Items, Analytical categories, and other non-model categories. The result? You need to manually uncheck all the unwanted categories just to unlock the parameters you actually want to filter by. This not only wastes time, it introduces frustration into a task we repeat dozens of times across projects. 🎯 My Suggestion: Add a dedicated checkbox to quickly select only Model Categories (Walls, Floors, Doors, Windows, Roofs, etc.) — just like how the “Hide Unchecked Categories” checkbox helps with visibility. ✅ This would especially help in workflows like: Setting up demolition filters that override colors for all model elements in a phase. Creating custom visual filters for design options or phased views. Any situation where you need to apply a consistent rule across the model, without wasting time manually selecting dozens of checkboxes. Until now, I’ve had to start with a handful (Walls, Floors, Roofs...) and build up from there , by wich i mean manually check categories when needed, which slows down an otherwise fast workflow. Let’s reduce unnecessary clicks and make filters smarter. ⚡
