It would be great to have the option to file completed forms to folders in Files or moved  to folders in Forms without having to create templates under each folder in Form Templates.  For example, daily job logs completed in 2026 could be moved to a 2026 folder under Forms.  Or maybe even better, the forms could be exported to a folder in Files.  The process to export now requires a download of a report and then upload.  It would be easier to hit export > files and select the destination.   @[email protected] Show More

It would be good to have the ability to create a copy of a folder in FILES Data Management or Build and carry over the permissions applied to the parent AND children folders within the copying folder.   The target would be the same project, but the ability to not have to rework permissions, roles, companies etc would be valuable to sustaining a template structure that can be built-out if the project calls for it.   Having the "move" function with no "copy" function is a barrier to having a robust template in our org, and using desktop connector does not have the function of keeping permissions in place unless the copy is placed in a parent folder, but then permissions are again inherited at the highest level, meaning rework for admins.   We spend a lot of time reworking our templates for project teams to be able to do a wide variety of projects in our org, copy seems like something that should be a basic function on the folder level. Having a slicing tool in the model coordination view that saves the cuts outside of the model so model updates don't remove the cuts. This way when we receive updates our sequencing information doesn't get reset. See the attached screenshot for a proposed way for the tool to work.  Show More

Add functionality to colourise Issue Pins by metadata - Categories or Custom Attribute from the Issues settings menu. This will allow ease of identification of Issue type/category etc through colour. Colour option, show colour via status, show colour via Category/Type. Limiting the colour to status only means the viewing of Issue Pins relies on other filtering heavily. Issues currently show an ID in plan view - this should be available in 3D - not limited to simple circle. Colour of Type/Category also visible in 3D. This would ehance viewing and reporting of Issues within a project. Ease of Identification, graphical filtering. Please consider. Show More

Right now "Border Color" makes sense only for things like Text, where it literally set the color of a border around the text box, but it also controls highlighter color, pen color, and line element colors, none of which have borders. I find the box around the text is usually sized wrong and is in the way, so I set it for transparent, but then my pen and highlighting also is "transparent", even though it draws as a thin gray line. I propose making this just "Color", and it sets all the colors: lines, pen, highlight, text, shapes. You want all those things to have color. Text boxes do not need borders around them - you can already draw a cloud or box around your text if you want it, but it just makes the color control confusing. What would be best is if each tool had its own persistent color selection, but that's harder to implement, I'm sure, and I'd be happy to just make "Border Color" into "Color" and control the text color and everything else. The page movement at page edge is too fast and starts too early. When drawing a line or an area, getting 1/2" from page edge SUDDENLY pushes you way off the edge of the page. That scrolling should start slower then increase the further past the edge you go. It causes a lot of difficulty when the page SUDDENLY shifts away. Show More

"Share with projects" is a extremely useful tool in Insight Builder. Customers can publish insights in all / selected projects in seconds! Currently only permissions by role are available, and it would be useful to manage permissions by "company" to manage the information shared with the stakeholders/suppliers. For example: GC can have internal Health&Safety dashboards that cannot be share with the "safefy subcontractor team" or control the info shared with the final client. Show More

We have noticed that in the RFI folder, when multiple documents are attached in the Reference section, there is no option to download them all at once. Providing a bulk download feature for multiple reference files would greatly help us manage our work more efficiently and save time. Show More

It would be very useful if users could: Reorder and customise the displayed columns. Add/remove columns as required. Display referenced correspondence IDs/links in a dedicated column. Having the referenced correspondence visible in the register would provide a quick summary of related communications without opening each correspondence individually, improving efficiency when managing large volumes of project correspondence. Autodesk Cost Management needs a better way to support cost-to-complete meetings. Customers need the ability to add a note directly to each forecast adjustment. The adjustment amount alone is not enough. Teams need to document why the forecast changed, what risk or issue caused it, and what action may be needed. Autodesk should also add a standard report that shows the budget, current forecast, forecast adjustments, and forecast adjustment notes in one view. This report should include: Cost code / budget line Revised budget Committed cost Actual cost Current forecast Forecast adjustment amount Forecast adjustment note Variance Last updated by Last updated date This is critical for monthly cost-to-complete reviews. Without notes and a report, teams are forced to track explanations in Excel or separate meeting documents, which defeats the purpose of using Cost Management as the source of truth. It would be beneficial to be able to see certain actions taken by users within the Forma tenant. As an example, if a project administrator at your company adds a user to a project, if a project administrator edits someone's access permissions, or edits permissions within the build module itself i.e. forms, issues, etc. It would be nice to be able to generate a report to see what was changed who changed it, and when in case said changes need to be rolled back for security compliance or a break in work flow functionality.   Thank you for your consideration. The Forms API currently supports creating forms and updating field/table values via PUT values:batch-update, but only for web (native) forms. Smart PDF forms are read-only: pdfValues can be retrieved via GET, but there is no way to write values to the smart fields of a PDF form, nor to replace the underlying PDF of an existing form instance via API.   Request: Extend the Forms API to allow updating pdfValues on Smart PDF forms (ideally via the same values:batch-update pattern used for web forms), or alternatively provide an endpoint to replace/upload the filled PDF of a form instance.   Use case: We run standardized inspection and production tracking forms (e.g., TBM cutting tool wear control on tunneling projects) as Smart PDF forms in Autodesk Build, because the PDF layout is contractually fixed and must match the client's approved format. Much of the data in these forms originates from other systems (sensor data, machine logs, ERP). Today, this data must be typed in manually on site, although it is already available digitally. With write access to PDF form fields, we could pre-fill forms via integration middleware (e.g., Workato) and let field crews only verify and sign — reducing errors and duplicate data entry.   Current workaround and why it's insufficient: Rebuilding templates as web forms is not always possible where the PDF layout is contractually mandated; filling PDFs outside ACC and uploading them as documents bypasses the Forms workflow (statuses, review sequences, accountability). We notice that sorting and filtering function does not work together in the Correspondence module. Before filtering, we can sort by asc/desc for IDs, Sent Date and others. However, once a filter is made, it cannot be sorted. This should not be the case as we still need to sort it by latest sent date or ID. @tushar_nath  Show More

remove the auto page assignment and don't mess up the order of the document pages. You have the pages order going 1, 10, 11, 12....... 2, 20,21..ect. that why of sorting pages does nothing but making me go thru every page and naming it so your system is forced to order them in a usable fashion. since you can't auto order the pages to anything useful with out that naming every page please just leave the document order the way the document comes in.  Show More

Within a form, on each question, you can currently: Attach document from computer Add new photo or reference existing Add new issue or reference existing Add text note   What I would like to have is for a document to reference by question. I know you can reference within the form overall on the basic information tab. There are instances where I want to reference a document that is within data management. You could even set it up similar to static version packages where it is referenced on that question on the specific version added. Better yet, make that configurable by the admin where it will keep updated or static version! I think this flexibility would be very beneficial when completing forms. Show More

It would be very helpful if we could override the inherited folder permissions freely. Currently, you cannot give a lower permission than the parent folder has, which means we waste time rearranging folders and permissions frequently.
