We were told our field guys could add companies into their projects if they were located in the master company list.  They are unable.   We would also like it to be part of our project template to add certain subcontractors that we use on all of our projects instead of having to add this into each new project when it is created. When searching for a project, currently, you can select between projects or templates to search. It would be nice to have a third option that would be grouped projects. The ideal would be creating groups or collections or projects with whatever the name needed to be as an account administrator, such as a program name. When users go to search a project, they could switch to the group tab in the search and would have dropdowns or a carrot they could click to expand the list of projects under that group. It would make finding projects easier when users are added to many different projects. Show More

Your Autodesk Construction Cloud Case Number is : 02179781   Please review the contents of my support case and the response, and try to make this a new feature so that we can eliminate confusion amongst our bidders on who to contact for what bid package. When using the mass publish feature, bid invite emails should be received separately from each bid package (lead) the bidder is invited to.    Pasted below:   We ran a few bid invite tests today to troubleshoot why subcontractors sometimes contact the wrong team member regarding their bid packages. We found that when a bid package lead is set, BuildingConnected does direct subcontractors to the correct team member for questions, concerns, or bid submissions. However, we noticed an issue when using the mass-publish bid invite feature: In today’s test, I was added as a bidder on two packages (Demolition and Drywall). Alejandro, our Chief Estimator, is set as the bid package lead on other packages, but not these two. When Narahari sent out the mass bid invite, the email I received came from Alejandro for both packages — even though he is not the lead on Demolition or Drywall. This creates confusion because many trades receive invites for multiple packages, and we want the point of contact to match the lead for each specific package. Our question: Is there a way to configure BuildingConnected so that: Subcontractors receive individual bid package invites, and Each invite shows the correct bid package lead as the contact, rather than defaulting to one person (in this case Alejandro) for all packages in a mass invite? When adding people to a project, some members may need to have different roles applied to them or specific needs for permissions, depending on the project. If notes could be added at the account level, an account admin could add a reminder in that note for any specific individual needs for a user. This would allow for a base role to be applied at the account level and would give notice to project admins when adding members for those specific needs. Depending on how it would be used, you could create a semi-role hierarchy at the individual member level. An example for this would be a role hierarchy for folders in the files module, for groups like external users, using roles. At the project template level, you could create a top-level folder for all external users that would contain any useful information or training that may be needed for all to view, using a role that is applied to all external users at the account level for basic viewing permissions. A sub-folder can then be created for the specific role an external user would have like if they are a vendor or sub-contractor. You may have specific document upload requirements for vendors that wouldn't apply to sub-contractors. Then at the project level a project admin would add the external users and check to see if they need to apply any additional roles or permissions in the project; based on notes from the account level. Then they can add company specific folders if the specific role-based folder does not cover everything. Such as if you have multiple vendors supplying the same equipment and want to organize their document submission. By planning to set multiple roles you can move having to set permissions in many different folders to just folders for members from specific companies. Top Level Folder for All External Users (Project Template Level)      > Specific Role Based Folder (Project Template Level)          > Specific Company folder if needed (Individual Project Level)     This would eliminate the need to track these different needs in an external program. I noticed that recently there has been a change to members tool. Now if you assign a role with default access level of project member to a user who have been assigned as project admin in the project, the user gets demoted to project member based on the most recent role added. This has caused some problems because during the project we would like to maintain our project admins but have the freedom of adding them to multiple roles. Now every time we add a new role to a user, we also have to double check whether they are project admins or not, so in case they get demoted to project member we update the access level too. I appreciate if the development team could exclude project admins from getting their access levels updated based on a role assigned to them or come up with an alternative solution for this problem. It would be highly beneficial to have a feature in the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) that allows creating an “Internal Project Support” section within each project. This feature would provide users with a centralized, configurable support overview and make it easier to connect with the right contacts: Customizable support categories Ability to set up different support areas, such as IT Support, BIM Management, Project Management, Construction Site Coordination, Specialist Planners, etc. Detailed support overview For each support category, an info card should be configurable with optional details, including: Contact person Phone number (optional) Email address (optional) Link to an internal or external website (optional) Quick access via support buttons Dedicated buttons on the project dashboard could link directly to the relevant support area, making it easy for users to find the right contact without searching through external resources. Fully project-specific configuration Each project should be able to define its own structure and responsible contacts to ensure that the displayed support information is always relevant and up to date. I’d like to propose an enhancement to the Submittal Module within Autodesk Build that would significantly improve data security and workflow integrity across project teams.   Currently, when a member is added to a project via the Admin module, their access is governed by their assigned role. While this role-based model provides general control, it lacks the granularity needed to manage access to specific fields within modules such as RFIs and Submittals. This means that once a user has access to a module, they can view all associated fields and documents—regardless of their role in the workflow.   This limitation poses a challenge in scenarios where certain users, such as General Contractors, are permitted to upload submittals but should not have access to review documents until the review process is complete. For example, even if a workflow is designed for the Submittal Manager to direct reviews and close out items, the General Contractor can still access documents uploaded by reviewers before the review is finalized. While professional ethics suggest they should wait, the system currently allows premature access, which could compromise the integrity of the review process.   Introducing field-level access controls would allow Project Account Admins to: Restrict visibility of specific fields or documents based on user roles or workflow status. Ensure that users can only interact with the data relevant to their responsibilities. Prevent unauthorized or premature access to sensitive project information. This enhancement would not only support better data governance but also promote ethical collaboration and reduce the risk of miscommunication or misuse. No way to edit or delete information within 2 - Submittals folder. Once a document is automatically copied from the Submittals, there is no way to edit name of the folder or file, or move to a different location. If a new revision of a submittal is created with the same document, the document in the Handover module will not be updated or replaced with new revision, but will just add it as a new document, whether or not the document names are the same Show More

If the documents are being reviewed in Reviews rather than Submittals, they need to be manually copied into Handover module, making it redundant. Automatic copy of documents that go through O&M workflow in Reviews can achieve the same outcome and there is option to edit the structure after. A lot of work to be done in the Handover module as at the moment it lacks use. Desktop Connector:  Ability to open desktop connector without it being pinned to screen. It cannot go to background or be moved without it closing. Also would like notifications on syncing errors since they're so frequent.  Not backlogging syncs when there is 1 error 'in front'. Just skip the error and keep going.  Better syncing between connector & Browser    iPad App:  Ability to make updating comments on room status from app. This is only available in the web browser.  Easier way to 'drop tool' in iPad app.  Creating Tasks > Direct link for photos not all 2nd selection screen. If need edits, person should go back in. Like PlanGrid.  Ability to ZOOM camera out. When taking photos in the app, on tasks, etc. It's super zoomed in and you can't zoom out. Hard to capture full elevations when you don't have enough space to back off 25+ ft.  When selecting a hyperlink from a sheet > selecting sheet reference, the initial screen/view you're taken to is zoomed in very close- Jumping to a sheet should view sheet sized to screen initially.  Ability to copy/paste tasks/issues. Text boxes do not Autositze.  Ability to rearrange and or favorite tools/ edit tool bar & location.  Ability to use one finger, not two, to traverse a sheet.  When selecting a hyperlink/ mark up, the bottom pane doesn't come into full view. Sometimes when it's too small, you're not able to even select the reference.  When jumping to a sheet via a search, the surrounding sheets are not accessible. If I jump to sheet A-1000 via any filter, I should be able to swipe right for A-999 and left for A-1001 and not have sheets excluded.    Web Browser:  Correct clashing view in Correspondence View - i.e. subject only, etc. See Photo When exporting Reports or RFIs, attachments should be able to be included as sheets. Would like ability to delete embedded links. We cannot submit RFI's this way and have to export and re-add sheets to RFI's outside of ACC.  When exporting reports, selecting export should export the report to .pdf automatically. Or when selecting Export, at least have the option to create link, export, etc.  Function from an application - not a web browser. (This could also resolve the major issues with Desktop Connector) Excel & word online have limited functions and are not user friendly. We also lose work alot, see next bullet.  Browser sheet resolution is exceptionally poor until zoomed in.  Ability to open Microsoft files in application and sync, (done we have connector anyway) since they’re supposed to be able to be live. (How teams functions). Also work simultaneously in live documents - not in browser. We loose too much worse when it "refreshes". When this happens, we lose work from the 3-5 minutes leading up to the refresh and are not made aware a browser refresh is coming.  When opening a task or issue, you can't expand it. Should be able to view as full screen or similar to RFI dialogue box. See photo.  When you create an RFI in the browser, once you click out of the initial RFI dialogue box & go to edit Description or Suggested Answer, you cannot hit "Enter" to go to next line. Should be able to do this to keep formatting clean. Would like ability to format &/o bullet/number lists.  When you click the sheet reference in a browser on plan, it doesn't go to the sheet... you have to click it again........ if the sheet reference is showing, should go straight to the sheet.    General:  Drawing Sets should upload in the order in which they are added. Not alphabetically. Our draw set is disorganized because of the inability to rearrange sheets (though we shouldn't have to. Like PlanGrid.)  Manual location inputs > Would like to be able to manually input locations that may not be in assets lists. For example, we have a mock up and cannot drop a task for this. We have experienced corridor issues that affect our path of travel, etc. We cannot put actual locations on these tasks.  Easier location upload - not double clicking room, etc.  Ability to assign tasks/issues to users / project team members. > "Assigned to" is an available filter, but assigning is not available in the task/issue.  Making user default settings apply to all projects.  Ability to bulk-edit sheet tags after being published.  Not having hyper link symbol on the plan views, it's messy and crowded. The mark up indicates the hyperlink would exist. Like PlanGrid.  When selecting a mark up we created to hyperlink an elevation, the shape often selects, it shouldn't be reading a shape, it should just be reading the fact it's a link to another sheet. Often times when this happens it ends up inadvertently being moved, resized, etc.  Ability to pin favorite folders or docs in files. Have to go through entire file path each time. Ability to image search in addition to text, like Bluebeam.  For automatic hyperlinks created by ACC, selecting sheet reference shouldn't be required - jump directly to sheet.  Don't read ACC populated hyperlinks as mark ups - see attached. Improve the Role dropdown so we can actually see the words. Presently you have to guess which one you want, then when it's added you check if you picked the right one. A draft or internal review status for minutes is something that would be beneficial, if not essential. Until the wording or contents is finalised and approved internally, we do not want everyone who attended or is invited to be able to view the 'Work in progress' version of the meeting minutes, especially for items of a contractual nature. Idea description: Introduce functionality within the system to allow multiple users to check out a Microsoft Office document and make updates using Track Changes, all within the Reviews workflow module.   Reason: Currently, the system does not support this essential capability, forcing teams to move documents into external platforms for collaborative review. This creates unnecessary IT and resource overhead, including increased licensing costs, data integrity risks, and manual effort.  This limitation is particularly problematic in highly regulated industries, where multi-stakeholder document reviews are not just common — they're a legal requirement.   The inability to support this kind of collaborative, auditable editing process fundamentally limits the platform's credibility as a document management solution.  Without this feature, the system functions more as basic document storage rather than a true, controlled, and compliant document management system.  Enabling this capability would streamline document lifecycles, reduce administrative overhead, and significantly enhance the platform’s value for enterprise users who depend on robust, auditable, and regulation-ready document workflows.  Show More

I've noticed that the order of E-Signers showing up when a document template is uploaded in Cost Management is not actually based on the document template itself (where the value of the Field tag or Field key has been entered on the .docx file) but rather is based on the order of E-Signers on the "Manage e-signature signers" setting tab. This means although the E-signers might have been ordered properly in the .docx file but when uploading the template, a lot of priority and ordering adjustments needs to be done if the E-Signers are not added in a certain way in the General setting tab of "Manage e-signature signers". Not everyone refers to a Payment Application as such. Application for Payment (AFP) and other acronyms are common depending on the parties involved.  It would be terrific if we could have a way to customize the payment application numbering in the same way that you can do so for Change Orders and Contracts.  Having the ability to choose the prefix used within a company rather than having to rename each payapp from PA001 to AFP001 would save time and confusion.  Show More
