Hi,   There is no way to avoid creating additional sketch with lines (tangent, perpendicular) to place tangent dimension that is aligned with the flange sheet. Screenshoot is in the attachment. I would like to have the ability in drawings (idw) to set another color (or layer) for the curves created by Mark feature. Currently, it is not possible to distinguish the Mark lines from standard curves. When exporting to a dxf, this works. Marked lines are displayed in the preset color. I would like this to be also controllable for Inventor drawings.  This is important for me because when we laser-cut sheet metal, the engravings should be displayed in yellow. I can create the engravings in the part and export them as dxf with marked lines in yellow, but when I create a drawing (idw), the marked lines appear as a standard black line. With other lines like bend lines or hidden lines I can also define beforehand via the layer which color the line should have, so why not also with marked lines? Show More

This would be a nice time saver for Inventor users. The current methodology requires right mouse selection of a Delete command, and takes approximately 1.5 seconds. However, simply using the keyboard's 'Delete' key would be instantaneous and take about .1 second. Time is of the essence, and Inventor needs to speed things up in so many areas. Show More

If I make a flush place constraint in an assembly I have to give an offset value. I never know if I have to give a positive or nagative offset value. I always do this by trail and error. Maybe it's possible to make a reverse button in the "Place Constraint " window.        Show More

In iLogic or VBA when dealing with participants in an assembly extrusion:   If the amount of participants ever goes to zero the extrusion is automatically deleted. I would like this to change to instead of it being deleted make the extrusion suppressed if the amount of participants goes to zero. That way there isn't a need to keep checking for the number of participants and also there isn't a need to recreate the extrusion if the participants ever go to zero by mistake. I've attached a video of removing the participants down to zero and the extrusion goes away (deleted) within an assembly.        Show More

I would like to see in near future updates code marker/highlighter. For example: if I mark beginning of "If" statement, I would like to see the "End" of this statement to be marked as well: This will be very helpful in complicated code (with a lot of different statements and loops). Another improvement would be variable marker/highlighter. For example: if it's a class variable, then, after highlighting this variable, I would like to see this variable highlighted in the whole iLogic code: If it's a local "Sub" variable, then mark all its uses inside the local "Sub".   Show More

Inventor should have the possibility to use 3D annotation from lower levels in Top Level assembly drawing.  We want the annotation on a part level because: we use part descriptions on a part level (a breef 2-3 word summary of the machine) and we add numbers relating to quotation. for these annotations we want the annotation style and height to be constant throughout the document and this is only possible in parts. we also want the content of these numbers to be driven by ilogic, both internally and with factory rules. I use Inventor to create drawings for music stages. These drawings are used by our customers, engineers and crews. The assemblies are in real life, physically very large. I use multiple Model States to control various views  within the drawings. Right now there are two Edit Scope choices: Factory and Member.   I do as much modeling using Factory Scope as I can before I start creating additional Model States. Once I have multiple model states editing my model becomes increasingly labour intensive. Most of the changes I make are in multiple Model States, but not all Model States. I make my changes in Factory Scope, but then I need to go back into the Model states that I don't want those changes and remove them.   Having the ability to edit more than one Model States at a time would be very helpful.
