Wouldn't it be nice to see Vehicle Tracking inside of Infraworks!    I created a preliminary Roundabout model for a client to propose to the DOT a new development that needs access to a highway and the only junction the DOT will consider is a roundabout.  I thought perfect I'll use Infraworks and the roundabout tool, so I built a model complete with new city streets, along with the developers site development, parking lots, parking striping, 3D buildings, landscaping, etc. which they were all very impressed by.  Then we got to the roundabout and the first thing the pointed out was it wasn't an accurate representation of a roundabout. I explained to them that this roundabout is up to Federal highway standards and was a criteria based design.  The client asked where are the islands, where are the sidewalks, wheres the signage, and kept firing questions at me....      Luckily I believe in being very well prepared so I had modeled this roundabout inside Civil 3D with Vehicle Tracking and was able to show them that.  In the end I showed them what they needed to see to make decisions but they all wanted to see that level of detail in the Infraworks 3D model.     The client wasn't very understanding when I showed him the roundabout in Civil 3D and how detailed it was with splitter islands, cross walks, sidewalks, etc.  I explained to them that Infraworks is a preliminary design tool and we use it to have conversations in context to allow us to get decisions made sooner so we can then take it to the next level which is detailed design inside of Civil 3D.     Please consider adding this to the next release.  Everyone's clients would appreciate this addition I believe!   Thank you for your consideration!   Casey Bekkerus  Show More

In additional to support for the Oculus Rift, I would like to see support for the HTC VIVE. These are the 2 primary VR devices on the market at this time and it would be a shame if only the Oculus was supported by Infraworks as opposed to both. We use the VIVE compared to the Oculus due to the support for larger spaces with which to interact inside our created environments. We are beginning to use it more with Autodesk's Stingray and I have been very please with it so far, except for the fact that it is not supported in Infraworks. Show More

With the ability to have Civil 3D use Property Sets on 3D Solids coming from Dynamic Corridors, it would be logical to not only have these Properties available in Navisworks but also viewable in InfraWorks models. As posted in the general discussion forum here, I would like to see an import option added which would basicly alow this:   Import just any geotagged photo Convert the GPS Exif data (LL84) to an InfraWorks Bookmark (geocentric coordinates as found in the JSON files) Project the foto as background in the InfraWorks viewport   This would provide a very quick way to do some basic photo Matching in the early stages of projects.  Show More

Its great for collating multiple data sources, but once changes are made - it would be very helpful to push 2D DWG back out so that those consultants who only need 2D can have an update latest data set.   A simple - plan view 2D DWG export would be very, very helpful. Show More

The importing of textures into Infraworks is buggy and kind of garbage. Make this ability more simple and robust and users will be able to make prettier models.   Ideally, the materials for multiple software would all be cloud shared and distributed so that I don't have to import from one to other and Inventor/Revit/Civil3D/Infraworks can all look at a common set of material/appearance libraries. Since 2008, China has fully adopted CGCS 2000 as its unified coordinate system. CGCS 2000 (China Geodetic Coordinate System 2000) is similar to LL84 but has a slight deviation. At present, all Chinese users must use coordinate offset to realize each data interaction. China is one of the countries with the most InfraWorks users. Please provide the CGCS 2000 coordinate system and relevant projected coordinate systems to help users directly use the accurate coordinate position in InfraWorks. Thanks! Show More

Currently, it seems like Autodesk is ignoring or doesn't care about the ideas on these forums as 16 of the top 20 ideas are still gathering support.
