Wouldn't it be nice to see Vehicle Tracking inside of Infraworks!    I created a preliminary Roundabout model for a client to propose to the DOT a new development that needs access to a highway and the only junction the DOT will consider is a roundabout.  I thought perfect I'll use Infraworks and the roundabout tool, so I built a model complete with new city streets, along with the developers site development, parking lots, parking striping, 3D buildings, landscaping, etc. which they were all very impressed by.  Then we got to the roundabout and the first thing the pointed out was it wasn't an accurate representation of a roundabout. I explained to them that this roundabout is up to Federal highway standards and was a criteria based design.  The client asked where are the islands, where are the sidewalks, wheres the signage, and kept firing questions at me....      Luckily I believe in being very well prepared so I had modeled this roundabout inside Civil 3D with Vehicle Tracking and was able to show them that.  In the end I showed them what they needed to see to make decisions but they all wanted to see that level of detail in the Infraworks 3D model.     The client wasn't very understanding when I showed him the roundabout in Civil 3D and how detailed it was with splitter islands, cross walks, sidewalks, etc.  I explained to them that Infraworks is a preliminary design tool and we use it to have conversations in context to allow us to get decisions made sooner so we can then take it to the next level which is detailed design inside of Civil 3D.     Please consider adding this to the next release.  Everyone's clients would appreciate this addition I believe!   Thank you for your consideration!   Casey Bekkerus  Show More

I would like to see a light pole illumination. Sometime we would like to create storyboards or render images for night conditions that mimics   photometric plans. It would be nice to have a light pole that had lighting illumination features with different levels.   Show More

Maybe I missed it, but, if the only way to rename a proposal is to duplicate and give it a new name, then delete the old, could we get the ability to rename the proposals?    Ideally, this will flow through and rename the shared web versions too. InfraWorks should have the ability to create a sheet and add basic annotation, like text and leaders. This would greatly enhance the usefulness of InfraWorks as a conceptual design platform.  Show More

FBX export should include some more data from the object like a SAP No, a description or a comment. Also user defined properties will be a good idea.   We can use this properties to identify the object in other autodesk and foreign applications and for other cases.   Today only the InfraWorks internal object-Id is exported, all other like description or comment are ignored. This Id is generated internal inside InfraWorks and therefor not really useable outside of InfraWorks. Show More

Infraworks 360 now have a nice set of analysis. Maybe Noise Analysis can also be possible to implement? Then we can experiment with amount od the noise barriers, height of the barrirers, different materials with unique fisical characteristic....  It could be accurate, because in IW we can simulate project space in 3D very well; which is usually problem in noise analysis calculations. It might be very handy to be able to combine Multiple (File and Database) Dynamic Data Source connections to one Feature object to combine object properties. Sort of like the Navisworks and Map 3D Database connections to link data together using a special key value. Show More

Add wastewater specific structures that connect to pipes similar to currrent storm pipes and structures in InfraWorks 360. Additions would include items such as cleanouts, plugs, reducers. Some structures could be dual purpose from storum such as Manholes. Also add wastewater pipes including materials such as vitrified clay, ductile iron, steel, stainless steel, concrete, pvc, sdr-26 pvc, sdr-35 pvc, and hdpe. Show More

Probably a low priority, but the ability to show and design a speed hump would be cool. This is usually intended to slow drivers down, but allow for fire trucks to do cool jumps on them.    Here is one community's design standards for them.  Show More

A bollard used to protect objects in the field. These are usually steel posts filled with concrete, removable, skinny, or fat and large. They are often placed around Federal buildings to for Anti-terroism or to protect downspouts or utilities. They are placed individually or in a line. It would be great if placed in a line they behaved like the Arrray command in AutoCAD where you could change the spacing of them. The bollards should update to any changes to the pavement, sidewalk or landscaping objects. Also if they are in a line and the building grows the bollard should be smart enough to know that it needs to remove the one that is now in the building or adjust it's spacing if it is really, really  close to the outside wall. Hi,   I think there would be benefit to allow vertexes to be added into an top  exsiting extruded building object.  Then have to ablity to edit and move those vertex elevations.  That would allow for building roofline manipulation for more complex building objects.   Thanks. Show More
