An operator may declare a quantity greater than the production order quantity during the first operation of a production order. This declared quantity is then valid for all subsequent operations of the production order. Beyond the fact that this poses an easy risk of error for operators (poka-yoke), it also completely distorts the data analysis.

We are using machines for projects that consume materials during production and have a storing capacity which we record as a warehouse location. (i.e. certain amount of material is moved to a machine from the shelf and we keep track of how much material is in each machine). It would be much easier if we could consume the materials from specific warehouse locations when entering the consumption on the tablet instead of having to go into the inventory movements each time and change the warehouse location from production to the warehouse location. It is an extra step that sometimes gets missed when we are busy and causes inventory numbers to be inaccurate.

Fusion Operations has a set of barcodes that replicate tablet buttons when inserting production, such as "insert", "confirm", "cancel" and "confirm and add another". However, when workers are prompted with the options below (‘Close Open Productions’ or ‘Start New Production’) before proceeding, there are no barcodes to replicate this selection. This forces the workers to go to the tablet and make the selection. Instead of selecting between these two options, can the system allow users to directly scan or select the new production order and proceed without extra steps?

At the moment, we can only reference an object modeled in fusion 360 (components or an assembly) inside the work instructions. 2D drawings can't be referenced, which is a problem because we want workers to have access to the updated production drawing.

When a worker is clocked onto the job through the worker menu and then the production order is taken off tablet view is it possible that this is notified to people to say that they cant work in this job? We have had this issue come through our production process where a job had been put on hold after the production staff have been working on this for over an hour. Ideally it would be great for something to pop up on their screen when they clock out to say that this has been removed from tablet view and then make them ask the question to the production manager.

Allow PDF files to be attached to a Work Instruction and work instruction steps This will allow assembly drawings to be attached viewed by the operator while they are building the items.

The recovery operations on the header sheet are ordered by creation date instead of alphanumerically. If this were a setting that could be changed, it would lessen confusion when scanning the correct operations. People prefer a sequence over looking for the correct barcode to scan.

It would be great if we could customize our menus under management. For example, quoting a job is usually the very first step in our process, followed by sales order and then job so it would make the most sense for us to have those in that order under management.

It would save a lot of time to be able to add a specific raw material consumption to multiple new products at once. For example, I have 4 similar parts with different names but the same material and same quantity and I would love to be able to add it all at once instead of having to go into each individual product.

it would be great if, when we received a PO, the materials could automatically be allocated to the BOM for a specific job? It would save us so much time, especially since we’re juggling multiple jobs at once. If we had a system that could match the materials from the PO directly to the relevant job's BOM, we could make sure everything lines up seamlessly. Plus, being able to filter POs by job number would make it so much easier to check if everything for a particular job has been ordered and received. It would really take the headache out of tracking and make things so much smoother for everyone."

The production orders report provides an excellent way to visualize the progress of each production order per product and per operation. However, there is no Production Order filter on it, meaning that in case I need to check the progress of a specific production order I am required to export other production orders that fall in the same scope. When trying to use date filters or any other available, there are many other POs that are exported at the same time, making my analysis more difficult and time-consuming.

Hi, when creating a production order, my product will have operations assigned to it. Step 1, Step2, Step 3 for example. In the operations tab it will have the start and end date, workers and machines. In this section you should also have 'materials and quantity' so there is no need to then go into the 'Materials / Sub products option' and manually set up each task, this tab could be deleted all together. This is double handling. We've already selected these operations when setting up the product in the Products menu, but then we're required to go into the 'Materials / Sub-products' section to re-enter the same operations and assign materials (also this section you can select and deselect the steps). It would save a significant amount of time if there were a simple dropdown menu for selecting materials and quantities directly within the 'Operations' tab as we already know what operations and steps are required in this menu. Please contact me if I haven't made it clear and I can run over it. I hope this suggestion is shared by others! Thanks

We love the ability to create production orders from the Material Readiness Planner! However, because the creation pop-up is so limited we have to navigate to production orders to update the workers assigned and other details. This ultimately makes the time savings from creating production orders from MRP null because we have to continue creation in the production orders tab.

We can see the 'cycle time/work time' while we are in the Worker screen, but once you insert production (say, for example, just to fill in some data of the components, not because the operation is done) you cannot see the cycle time/work time unless you get out of the production screen. In that case, you lose the data. It would be really helpful being able to see the time whether you are in the worker screen or you inserted production. Another possibility is not losing the data, having the option of not just Cancel insert production but also EXIT (without losing data previously registered).

We use the notes on a production level to prompt workers to write certain information down on the header sheet(i.e. material certificate number among others). It would be fantastic if the notes could have a saved template so that you wouldn't need to write them from scratch for every production order created.

On the production orders we have an excel that is saved in, on the tablet view this is unable to be opened. it would be idea if the production staff could open up the excel and edit this and save it back. Having it work something like google docs where this is saved automatically and can be retrieved in the back office

Closing Jobs: “Close One by One” vs. “Close All” • Close All: This option divides the total number of steel sheets used by the number of products cut. It provides accurate steel consumption and traceability because each sheet is correctly allocated across production orders. This makes it easy to track steel usage in production records. However, using “Close All” does not allow for quality check sheets to be completed. • Close One by One: This option allows quality checks to be completed but inaccurately records steel consumption. Instead of dividing the sheets among products, it counts one sheet per product type. For example, if only one sheet was used but three product types were cut, it would incorrectly show three sheets consumed. This affects stock accuracy and traceability. The “Close All” method isn’t always possible because jobs are often multi-cut and span multiple shifts. Workers need to close jobs one by one to log the correct number of units cut. However, this method also creates incorrect steel consumption records since it assumes one sheet per product type. Ideal Solution The best approach would be a system that allows both: 1. Proper tracking of steel consumption by dividing it among all manufactured products. 2. The ability to complete quality check sheets. This would ensure both traceability and quality control without compromising stock accuracy.
