Product Observations Carry over to Quotes and Sales Orders
We put observations (descriptions) of our products here along with notes. I would like to have this information travel with the product when we add a product to a quote, sales order, and purchase order. Instead we have to go to that product page and copy/paste the observations.

I'm asking because the observations are often specific to a particular sales order, purchase order or quote. Is each product you do unique, and therefore is it built specifically to a client?
I'm considering if there are other solutions to this challenge.
I see what you are saying Andrade. I think my issue came from we often use a Product "Custom Part". This is when we are making something for a customer but do not expect it to repeat and therefore do not want to enter it as a new part. If I get a good example to show you I will but I think you just solved my issue with your question. Thank you!
Ok so I do agree with observations are reserved for specific notes to an order, job, or PO.
Because CUSTOM PART does not have a name we fill the information in on the observations because it is job specific. This also causes an issue when printing the packing slip. We have to go back to the sales order and copy/paste the observations to the packing slip so that the customer knows exactly what this "custom part" is.
Would it be possible to have a prompt pop-up when converting a quote to a sales order, when creating a job from a sales order, and when shipping that asks if you would like to bring the Observations with?

SECOND IDEA
At the product level, could there be a checkbox to tell Fusion that we want the observations to travel with the Product Code? This way any notes we have in that product will show up on a quote, SO, PO. We would always have the option to delete the observation if we didn't want it displayed on a particular document but would at least see what the note says.

If the box is checked YES, then the observation would travel with that part serving as a reminder. I would rather delete an observation than not see it to begin with.
Your first idea is possible as of today: the observations field on the Quote is copied to the Sales Order, and there is a configuration (not visible to you) to map the Sales Orders observations to the Production Order observations. Could you run a couple tests and let me know your feedback?
