Can someone at AutoDesk go through all the dialog boxes and match the diagrams to the text. There are so many that just don't make sense. One example is the shorten at UCS dialog box. There are numbers in the diagram that are not referenced in the text inputs. It is so confusing for new comers and it need not be.     Show More

Hi again😉, I  would like to add a weld prep all the way around the curved edge of a plate.   When I add the weld preparation (Bevel Cut) to the straight edges it works perfectly, however when I add it to the curved edge it will not allow me to make the cut.   This is something we intend to do quite a lot, so an easy workflow to getting this done correctly would be very helpful.   I have used the Spline/ Decurve option, but this way seems too time consuming when you have hundreds of plates.🙁 Please see PDF, regarding the Spline/ Decurve option.   Please review video of my workflow below.   https://www.screencast.com/t/hkPt9RMe   I have also attached the model structure.   Is it possible to make a cut like this in Advance Steel? The custom Dimension text is great, but it applies to all of the dimension labels equally.  Having a single dimension chain with one dimension label for "Under Clearance" and another to say "Top of Steel" for example.  This works best for Absolute or Ordinate dimensions which I noticed recently don't accept the custom labels at all. Hi All,   Currently, camera view directions are limited to "orthogonal" views. This makes it very difficult to provide isometric views. Would love the option to provide an orthogonal clipped view, but in the ucs direction. Hi again, I am writing regarding a client. He writes” How come every time I model a ladder the default is 30’-0 height, and not the height the value between the first and second point picked. Example if I wanted to create a 4’-0 ladder, I would like to pick my start point, then go up 4’-0 and click. Currently if I try that it will start my ladder the first point clicked then a 30’-0” ladder is drawn. It would be nice to be able to pick a start point and an end to define ladder height automatically rather than having to go into the macro and change the height.
