Well here's the kicker, holes do have model roles. It appears to me that all holes types are just holes with a Model Role. If you open the Drawing Style Manager and access the Model Objects tab and find any hole type, you'll notice that "Holes" is a model object, and "Threaded Hole" (for example) is a model role. So to give a "Threaded Hole" a model role, you'd have to add a Model Role on top of a Model Role. AS would really have to revamp the way it handles holes. This seems unlikely.
But I agree, being able to give holes model roles could be useful.
