We do weekly inventory counts for various sections of our warehouse. Most of our inventory counts include more than 1000 unique products that need to be counted. Because we can only import 1000 Excel lines at a time we have to name the second part of our count something different (.2, (2), etc.). This is not an accurate representation of what is actually happening during our counts and creates extra work to do multiple imports. It would be idea if when we selected "Continue Import" for the remaining lines on our upload, we could keep the same name and just add the additional locations & products to the same inventory count. Despite this idea being focused on inventory counts, other imports could also benefit from this improvement, such as importing production orders. Show More

We need the "Observations" field in sales orders to show up on packing slips. On a lot of our orders we do parts that are a one-time deal and do not want to add a new ""product" every time we do this so we use a product called "Custom Part" and define the product in observations. Not having the observations field show up on packing slips really negates a lot of useful information. Show More

We use the notes on a production level to prompt workers to write certain information down on the header sheet(i.e. material certificate number among others). Hey Fusion team, I’ve got an idea that could help with communication between the shop and the back office. Right now, after an operation is marked complete in Fusion, there’s no automatic notification to the back office. We can use variables or notes to flag things, but that’s not always clean or consistent. For example, we have an operation called “Final Welding.” Once that’s done, it would be great if a notification or alert could go to the back office team automatically. Even something like a simple status trigger that sends a message or email would help a lot. I know it’s kind of a niche request, but I can see this being useful for others too—especially for teams that rely on that handoff between production and admin. Thanks for considering it. Good afternoon all We are sometimes having issues with our over consumption with using multiple laser cutting machines and consuming the correct batch of steel on the correct laser.   It would help all Team Leaders if when an operator consumes a steel sheet and it sends the usage of a specific batch over what was originally delivered then we could get some kind of notification. For example, I use 1 roll of film and therefore I would be able to enter 1 roll, instead of 36851 inches in order to consume 1 roll of film. Closing Jobs: “Close One by One” vs. “Close All” • Close All: This option divides the total number of steel sheets used by the number of products cut. It provides accurate steel consumption and traceability because each sheet is correctly allocated across production orders. This makes it easy to track steel usage in production records. However, using “Close All” does not allow for quality check sheets to be completed. • Close One by One: This option allows quality checks to be completed but inaccurately records steel consumption. Instead of dividing the sheets among products, it counts one sheet per product type. For example, if only one sheet was used but three product types were cut, it would incorrectly show three sheets consumed. This affects stock accuracy and traceability. The “Close All” method isn’t always possible because jobs are often multi-cut and span multiple shifts. Workers need to close jobs one by one to log the correct number of units cut. However, this method also creates incorrect steel consumption records since it assumes one sheet per product type. Ideal Solution The best approach would be a system that allows both: 1. Proper tracking of steel consumption by dividing it among all manufactured products. 2. The ability to complete quality check sheets. It would greatly increase the ease of use of the entire platform if the side menu/navigation menu were able to scroll independently from the rest of the site/platform. Even just having the dropdown function on the side menu would help. Meaning that I would like to be able to view the sections within a topic without having to open the main topic every time. Hey everyone, I’m trying to use Zapier to improve organization and keep the right people updated. One thing that would be really helpful is a Zap that notifies us in Slack when a production order is completed. I read that I could set this up using a Webhook with Fusion’s API, but Zapier requires a paid plan for Webhooks, and I’d rather not spend extra money just for a couple of Zaps. It would be great if there were a built-in Zap (or another way) to trigger a Slack notification when a production order is marked as done. Does anyone know if this is possible or have a workaround? Information associated with individual clients could be greatly expanded. Things like shipping preferences and payment terms could be assigned to the client and then have the sales order autofill from the selection of the client. If client 'X' prefers to ship using their Fedex account number, then that information would automatically be populated to the sales order from selecting that client. Sales Order reports could include a filter for Product Families. We usually batch our production based on a category of product. That saves time on redoing machine setups over and over.  Having a filter for the Sales Order report can help users find out product categories that are present on order. When creating products if you move to a different tab without manually saving then you have lost all the work you have completed.  For example, if you create a product and then an operation, if you do not go back to the product tab and save then you have lost all your work.  there should be a "pop up" window if the system recognizes that you have not saved your work before moving to another tab. Please remove the necessity of approving a maintenance request before it appears in the tablet. This either creates and unnecessary step in our process by requiring our maintenance technician to approve the request before he can work on it in the tablet or creates inaccurate reporting because our maintenance technician approves and does the maintenance from his computer after he's already fixed the machine in real life.  Show More
