Show Product Observations from Sales Order on Packing Slip

We need the "Observations" field in sales orders to show up on packing slips. On a lot of our orders we do parts that are a one-time deal and do not want to add a new ""product" every time we do this so we use a product called "Custom Part" and define the product in observations. Not having the observations field show up on packing slips really negates a lot of useful information.

Hello @JasonW_ , I'll mark your idea as accepted even though it's possible to fill this information when shipping the sales order on the back office (see field "observations" below). This can also be updated on the inventory movement "comments" field.

 

Nevertheless I understand you'd like to automate this process, and adding flexibility to the way these documents are configured is a need other users would also like.

When product observations are present on the sales order, either because the observation is part of the product description or it is manually entered at the Shop Order level, we would like the observation to display on the packing slip.  

Example:

We use the part number "Custom Part" for any item that we make but do not want to assign a permanent number in FusionOps to.  So the packing slip just displays "Custom Part".  We have been receiving complaints because the customer can't tell what each "Custom Part" is from the packing slip.  Rather than manually typing in an observation for each line on a packing slip, if would be a better use of time if the packing slip used the observations from the sales order.
