It is a big need, for daily work/access in the model, if you have an NWF/merged model with more than 10-15 models appended. It is common for new models get added throughout the life of the project, and if you have 50 models appended in random order, it becomes a logistics nightmare.   It is a current feature of Manage (non-360 Glue) that would be a time & frustration saver if it was added to the 360 Glue merged model capabilities.   Show More

Very simply: grant the BIM 360 Admin (the highest rank) the access to the Autodesk BIM 360 Backups (cause Autodesk does backup of the databases on a daily basis, right?!), with the ability to restore any data loss...   For us it happen today, a Document Manager made a mistake and erase an whole directory folder with hundreds of plans in BIM 360 Field. Luckily the project has just started, so there were no markups, hyperlinks or pushpins on them, and we only had to re-upload the whole lot, but if this situation occurred to a well advanced project, it would have been a huge disaster, ending up losing all the red marks, pushpins and hyperlinks piled up over months and months of work.   Evidently this apply to all the BIM 360 products, Docs, Plan, Glue, ...   Any other idea on how to avoid/ control these kind of situation and being able to sleep again at night is very welcomed Show More

Currently Glue provides good practical solution for creating Markups based on the models, BUT currently there is no tool available to administer these Markups. The project I am working on it is really important to generate reports for the Markups created in Glue. It will be good if Autodesk develop this further so these markups can be administered effectively. On a small scale project it might not less of an issue, but on a large scale project it is very difficult to manage the large number of Markups.   We chose BIM 360 Glue for commenting purpose; previously we were commenting on the design models using Navisworks and share the XML file. Now we started using Glue for comments, but unfortunately we can not generate a report for the markups create in Glue. Key purpose for us to generate a report is to document the issues and tracking the issues with the responses.    To overcome this issue; I have introduced a folder structure, and Markup naming convention which everyone need to follow when creating a new issue. Then take a snapshot of every issue and manually create a report, which is taking double amount of time in comparison with using Navisworks.    B.C.F manager allows to create an issue, assign it to the correct team member, track the status of the issue. Reports can also be generated in BCF.   I think if BIM 360 Glue allows to create Markups and track the status, it will become a remarkable product. More importantly a reporting tool, which allow us to see which Markups are still outstanding, which Markups are resolved & closed, which Markups are assigned to who.    At the moment I am still struggling to manage the Markups effectively for the project I am working on. I will be grateful if Autodesk can consider to develop the reporting functionality for mark ups and be able to track the status of the Markups. The problem is Markups are increasing in numbers every day, without having audit / reporting tools available I don't know how we can manage them.   Other users like me, if this sounds familiar please vote.
