We are using combined profiles for some foreign steelwork. Here we are missing the button "1+2" to choose both beams for changing them. It's only possible to change the "1" beam or the "2" beam. Please make it possible to change both beams with one click. Show More

It would be great if there was a way to have information for a special part be inputted into the bill on a drawing. We had a job where we needed to add U-bolts into the assemblies and call them out in the bill and it was very time consuming to have to manually write them. I know of another program that has this capability and it would be helpful if Advance Steel could do the same.   Thanks. Show More

We are missing connections (Verbindungsmanager) for combined beams. All connections in the connection manager are not working for combined profils. We provide foreign markets with steelwork and they are often use combined profiles. Show More

One last one for the day   when you dimension using the advance steel labels and dimensions   it would be nice to be able to change the odd extension line to a different line type like centreline?  Even ga drawings is strange   In regular AutoCAD you can simply hit the dimension right click properties and then have the option to change the continuous line to any other line type   It does look strange when we dimension to the centre of an object with a solid line.   i know you can set the dim style to show all ctr lines but that is not ideal as fellow detainers would probably agree   thanks Show More

Hello,   As shown on pic 1, local corner clip dimension is combined with a contour dimension. Contour dimensions have to be clean, end point to end point, and   not mixed with local clips at corners.   Pic 2 shows diimensins modified the way they are supposed to be.   There should be a difference when dimension is recalled if dimension is a contour dimension (even of the contour is not a rectangle) or a local (clip, secondary) dimension.   Regards,   Ilko Dimitrov Show More

Hello,   Per attached screen pic, running dimension symbol is present even if there isn't a running dimension generated by the DS.   Sometimes hundreds of dwgs of a project require to be opened, RD deleted, and dimension moved closer to the detail just because there is a RD symbol generated.   Please remove the RD symbol when there isn't a running dimension present. Hello,   Every state project (95%+)  has stiffener plates  / shear plates with clips per attached screen pic with different values.   I have made once request to the tech support in USA, but the gentleman either passed away or was fired, and so far no results.   The clip values along x and y are different and are function of web thickness of the beam or girder.   Every state has it's own specifications and currently we have to explode each macro in order to modify the value's.     This applies for stiffener and for shear plate macro.   If I have to pay-please send me a quote. Hello,   It will be far more easier for the users if every major country based installation was coordinated by a team in the respective country.  for example-a small highly qualified team in USA knowing detailing in deep to make drawing styles, listing, numbering, defaults in MT, joints, object presentation etc. in the same country where the software will be used.   There are hundreds of things that are missing when development is done abroad, and if someone is far from what the customers want, things just do not happen. In other words, echoing over the big lake silence the user-developer dialogue.   And in most cases-developers do not understand or partially undesrtand what the user is asking for. In many cases they ADVISE that this is not important now, thanking for the idea, and the case is closed. Or it will be considered somewhere in the future.   If a developer has never been in a real steel fabricator's / detailer's position, this does not help even if an user spends a few hours per week asking / explaing what is hot to be changed.   If there is a way for additional $$ to be contributed by the user and a locally based developer to actually HEAR and DO what is necessary, it will get better return to the user. I think many detailers in USA (and not only in USA) will be happy to give a little bit more, but to get a higher quality of country based customization.   Regards, Ilko Dimitrov           Show More

Hallo!   Ich möchte gern, dass das Statikmodul in den Anschlüssen ausgebaut wird. Es sollen bitte mindestens der EC3 mit oder ohne nationalen Anhängen bei den Anschlüssen enthalten sein.  Grund ist die Optimierung der Anschlussgeometrie  hinsichtlich der auftretenden Kräfte. From what I can see the camera opition inside model views , is linked to the model view and the model view controls it layer.    I am am not aware the is a layer assignment opition for model views, if not then can we add to the layer assignment inside MT defaults.    We we can turn off the cameras via filters and layers, also opition in model to change camera display on or off, but no layer assignment.     Show More

Use front clip plane and back clip place to create object view. (Like in Prosteel, "Object view center") Change view depth to control what to see in the model, instead of clipping the actual objects (but the view depth is always unlimited).  The advantage is that with view clip distance, we can use multi view port in model space, and each view port is independent. "Quick view" always regen all the objects, even with multi viewport. After a new quick view is done, all the viewports are changed.   Show More
