Problem: While using Copy Design tool the rules that have "Part names" are not updating themselves.   Solution: While Copy Design is working, it should override the rules as such:   Say we have a rule which uses a part named "Part1.ipt". Copy design should "Search and Replace" all the rules that has the string "Part1.ipt" to lets say "New Part1.ipt"   We have some assemblies ( as end products ) that has extensive ilogic rules. These rules consist of rules that are dependent on particular parts in the entire assembly. Every other customer of ours have different dimensions on their site. So we basically give out the parameters to our model ( like external length etc ) and the model updates itself.    Once we have the end model, we would want to copy the entire .iam to Vault but there is a problem. We want to change all the part and assembly names according to customer and vault it. If we change one part name, the rules which depend on parts does not update.   Say we have a part named Part1.ipt. We change this part name ( with Copy design/ilogic design copy etc ) to Part2.ipt. The rule inside the assembly will stay as Part1.ipt.   Do we have a component to copy .iam files while also changing the names inside the rules? And if not, can we get an updated version of Copy Design which also deals with rules as explained above. This feature shouldn't be really hard as you can read all the rules and just "Search & Replace" command could replace every single Part1.ipt to Part2.ipt. Daha Fazla Göster

Make folder Rules able to be applied on creation, based on folder Name or other criteria. Give us the Check box on the folder Rules for automatically change catagory on creation that the File rules has. Daha Fazla Göster

Since Vault 2024.2 admins can distribute (Custom) Views to all the users on the Vault. So far, the feature is really appreciated but only missing one more feature that would might enhance it even further.   It would be great to be able to select and set a (Distributed) Custom View as a Default View per user for the every folder. As an administrator of the Vault, I've made several distributed views for different departments. Not all departments use or need to fill in all the data in the Vault. The users will only see what they have to fill in or is useful to them.    Currently, this can only be done by selecting one folder and set it to the preferred custom view. This is a tedious process and many users wouldn't bother.   Daha Fazla Göster

It would be nice to have the option to set a limit to the number of files a user can have checked out at one time.  There is no current way for me to control rogue CAD users from going check out crazy and checking out several thousand files at one time.   It would be nice if the system would force them to check files in prior to checking more out.  It would be nice to be able to apply this to groups of users or based on Vault roles. Description Starting a folder structure for a new project in Vault can be a timely process. From reproducing the folder structure, and in particular having to manually assign permissions to the newly created project structure.   Impact Not having this feature has a significant impact on the process for starting a new project, particularly one which has a somewhat complex folder structure. Hi,   I would like to request support for using themes (Dark, Light) in the Vault DataManagement Framework contrlols like the VaultBrowserControl and the RevisionDropDownControl. Auto Numbering scheme supports showing the [Code : Description] in the dropdown but only uses the Code in the Numbering Scheme. If a component contains model states of differing geometry, the automatic STP or DXF creation only support the active model state and does not create all the necessary versions required. We need any file with an Inventor model state to output multiple STP/DXF files to match.     Daha Fazla Göster

The problem to solve is this.   Eliminate the ability of users prematurely doing a copy design on a "WIP" (non-released) file.  Want to force users to only be able to Copy Design on "Released" files. This would ensure that designs are not prematurely used from a library on a project.  Especially, when the design is going through a revision change and the file is currently in "WIP" at a revision "B" and I want them to use the historical Revision "A" at the "Released" State.   Currently, if you remove the "read" permissions on the "WIP" state it also removes the ability for user to grab the copy in the history on the "Released" version.  Removing the permission of download on the state also fails when doing a Copy Design on the "Released" file in the history.     Whether it is through enhanced state permissions or enhanced Copy Design controls (Only Copy Design "Released" Files) this would be a welcoming addition. Currently we have an manual independent "Change Board" to track the configuration-changes for the ADMS, Vault-Client, and Jobservers. From other systems I am used to have a an automatic logging of changes. Sometimes  with the possibility to maintain the reason for a change. Description: Big Customers have developed a lot of customizations to fully support business needs and have a fully integrated business process.   Challenge: Maintenance of these customizations is very hard. They need to be scripted for new versions, needs to be reinstalled    Proposal: Support server side events such as Check-in, check-out, login, etc.   Impact: Customizations could be done from the server.
