I spoke to Autodesk Support already about it and they suggested I should submit it here.   In the vault we have projects that are confidential where the files and folders are hidden from users who are not authorized. When confidential files are deleted, they end up in the Trash Bin and to unauthorized users, these appear as "Inaccessible".   But the problem is, unauthorized users can STILL restore these files form the Trash Bin. This does not make sense, why would unauthorized users be able to see these files in the Trash Bin in the first place? Every users must have the restore permission, in case they need to restore files they deleted. (withtin 30 days).   Can you add a filter which hides inaccessible files from users who are unauthorized in the first place. Show More

The Inventor function « Map folders » allow to map Vault folders in the Designs.ipj file. An « Edit » button allows to browse a new folder. But there is no solution to delete a folder mapping. Please add a « Delete » button to delete a mapping. Please check the attached picture. When I do a search in Vault sometime I get a result of hundreds or thousands files, I then have to keep hitting the More button I until Vault shows me all the files it found.   What I would love is a Show All button.  When I click on the this button, Vault will then display all the files it found.   I know that this can take some time for it to finish but it's better than me sitting there hit More over and over again. Hello, there are a few very important information which are needed on drawings when vault revision tables are used. These information are: - ECO number - revision number / letter (depends on the used scheme) - the date of the ECO - Name of the user who is going to implement the needed change   All information are filled automatically except the most important information, the ECO number.   So my idea is to get acces to the ECO-number for the vault revision table.   My customers are wandering why they have to add the ECO number by hand but everything else is automated. As part of 2FA authentication, the login to the job processor must also be performed manually every 30 days. Otherwise jobprocessor would stop working. Autodesk Vault Professional - BOM Row Property Behavior Feedback Subject: Usability Concern: Non-Mapped BOM Row Property Propagation To: Autodesk Vault Product Development Team We are experiencing unexpected propagation with non-mapped BOM Row Properties in Autodesk Vault Professional. Problem: When a BOM Row Property (e.g., "Specific_Attribute") on a "grandchild" component (C) is modified within the BOM of a "grandparent" item (A) – where C is nested under a "parent" item (B) – the modification propagates. Instead of remaining unique to A's BOM, the change is applied to B's internal BOM definition. Consequently, if B is used in other "grandparent" BOMs (A'), they also reflect this unintended change. Example: Modifying Specific_Attribute for C in A's BOM leads to B's internal BOM being updated. This change then appears in A''s BOM, if A' also uses B. Impact: This behavior significantly limits our ability to manage item variations specific to a higher-level assembly without duplicating "parent" items. It increases complexity and can lead to data management challenges. Request: We request a mechanism to define and modify BOM Row Properties that are truly unique to the specific instance within the highest-level BOM, without altering the master BOM definition of intermediate sub-assemblies. The Query Builder is a useful tool to search for files. It would be great if the configuration of the fields to search can also be part of the distributed searches/settings.   Right now what seems to work is to copy the "Displayed Properties" in the  "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Autodesk Vault Professional 2024\Servers\<servername>\Vaults\<vaultname>\History\QuickFindHistory-IExplorerObject.xml" file, but it is a manual process.   Show More

Functionality:   Provide a user-friendly environment with no Powershell scripting to relate numbering schemes with cascading properties and discrete visibility to specific categories.   Autodesk example that exists today:   Look at the ACC solution. You can easily create a properties using any definition you want, attach it to a numbering scheme. The numbering scheme is not limited to 10 fields, it can be longer to fulfil international standards. Once user selects the file name from picklist, the properties are automictically populated according to selection. Hello VAULT team,   at the moment it is possible to customize the output file names of PDF files created with the Job Processor by modifying the Job Processor configuration file JobProcessor.exe.config. The naming convention defined in the config file is valid for all files in the vault. (see picture "VAULT-1" and "VAULT-3")   However, in different projects we need different definitions for the naming conventions for the created PDF files. It would therefore be important to be able to define multiple name definitions in the config file. The application of the appropriate naming convention should be based on the file category of the file from which the PDF is to be created.  (see picture VAULT-2)   For each project, we create a project-specific file category and use it to assign the appropriate life cycle and revision scheme to the files. Using this project-specific file category, the job processor could recognize which naming convention it should use to create the PDF file.   It would be great if these configuration options were added quickly. Hello.   It would be great to have some sort of indicator, if password is "blank" or not (for example ******). Also (confirmed by Autodesk support / developers), if password exist, but "Password" field is empty as on below image, it does NOT set password to "blank", but stays as it was, which is really hard to know, if you do not know the back side logic.   So indicator of "blank" or existing password would be great and also to maybe have a button to "set password", so somebody will not mistakenly think something else.       Best regards, Rene Repina Show More
