When exchanging design-related, project-specific documents between two Vaults, Fusion Team Hub (FTH) can serve as the intermediary platform. The upload from Vault A is initiated by selecting the top-level assembly and synchronizing it to FTH via Dekstop Connector. However, if one subsequently wishes to download this assembly into a different Vault—Vault B—the process works only selectively, as the synchronization currently imposes a limit of no more than 50 documents at a time. If the assembly contains 5,000 components, the user is forced to initiate the download 100 separate times. This is an extremely time-consuming and frustrating experience for the user! Please lift the document quantity limit for downloads! Furthermore, provide the option to initiate synchronization—for both uploads and downloads—on a folder-by-folder basis. Dear Autodesk, When additional links are added to an item in Vault Professional, the corresponding files are successfully synchronized to Fusion Manage. However, when a link is removed, it is not automatically deleted in Fusion Manage and requires manual intervention. As we also synchronize data and files with SAP, maintaining an accurate and consistent file count is essential. Currently, markups in Autodesk Vault are stored as entity attributes linked to the DWF version. These markups are separated from the markups created in the online viewer within Fusion Manage (FM). A valuable enhancement would be the ability for Vault to store markups directly in the Vault database instead of saving them only as image files. Dear Autodesk,   If you do a Copy Design to copy a CAD structure, the new files are not published with DWFs. It would be nice to have an option to enable it similar it is possible with check in operation from Inventor/AutoCAD Mechanical, so that the job processor is creating it in background.   Reason is, it is recommended to check out the new file structure to have ready the BOM blob for correct item/BoM assignment, but if not everything (specially IPTs and IDWs) is checked out/in, DWFs are missing. Dear Autodesk,   When synchronizing an item in Vault Professional that includes an linked IDW or DWG file as a attachment, the corresponding DWF visualization is not transferred to Fusion Manage. As a workaround, the DWF file must be attached to the item manually; however, this approach does not meet our requirements.   Users consistently attach native Inventor and AutoCAD Mechanical files. Some customer says they would like to create items in Fusion Manage as a first step (i.e. for classification purpose or to create a skeleton of the BOM without any CAD in PLM) and after to align them in Vault. I'd like to disable a specific Vault command in a menu in Inventor Professional 2026. How to reach the menu: load a file in Inventor, go to Vault tab → Show Details → select a tab with a file list, such as "Uses" → right‑click file. Here I want to disable the "Assign/Update Item" context‑menu command. The reason is that the user doesn't accidentally run the Autodesk out-of-the-box command, and thus break the business process and/or the CAD structure metadata. I have a request regarding the DTU capabilities of transporting system settings that have been created by the Vault Connector. When a Vault is transferred or merged using DTU, these settings should not disappear as the connection between this Vault and the Target Fusion Manage instance will likely be reestablished and therefore it makes sense to keep this information alive. Can you make sure that the additional information created and stored in Vault by the Vault Connector will be maintained when using DTU Exports and Imports in the future? Show More

Vault 2027 now extracts physical properties from Inventor files, with one caveat: This only works with new Vault installations, not upgrades as defined here:   https://help.autodesk.com/view/VAULT/2027/ENU/?guid=INV-PHYSICAL-PROPERTIES Configuration requirements The physical properties, Area, Mass, Volume are available by default in newly created Vault 2027. For a restored or upgraded vault, you should manually create Area, Mass, Volume properties and map them to Inventor properties.   This should be an automatic process for upgrades as well, and not to force users to the potentially mind-numbing manual process, when this data is needed to be shown in items.   My apologies, if I have duplicated an existing post. Hi, would be good if the vault client on users computer could display connection quality to vault server (data such as speed of connection to vault server and latency). Ideally a traffic light system could display this information (green for good connection and latency etc).    Currently we have to download a file and manually time the download to measure speed.   thanks, John Show More

The aim is to obtain a link from a PDF generated from a drawing (idw) so that Vault recognizes the connection between these files and takes this into account when checking in or checking out. Ideally, there would be a setting when exporting the PDF that says “Pin to Vault” Yes/No. I would be very grateful for any feedback. Show More

Why are the drop-down lists for the Vault Property and Fusion Manage Property so short and narrow? Not only does this make it hard to find the desired property, but it also makes it even harder to make sure you are selecting it in the right category (File vs Item).   My suggestions... It should be at least twice as tall. a third column should be added to show if it is a file, item, or BOM property (yes, I know there are titles... but they quickly go off the page) Add a filter for the Vault Property so that you can quickly filter just one type.
