Server Side Event Notification

Description:

Big Customers have developed a lot of customizations to fully support business needs and have a fully integrated business process.

Challenge:

Maintenance of these customizations is very hard.

They need to be scripted for new versions, needs to be reinstalled 

Proposal:

Support server side events such as Check-in, check-out, login, etc.

Impact:

Customizations could be done from the server. No reinstallation on Client side needed. Especially when having a big user base 700+ this is a tremendous amount of easment for IT.

This is an awesome idea!

I need to be able to hook into life-cycle change events on the server side so I can further process data in my ERP system; such as on an Item Revision or Release state. Having server side events would definitely solve that problem. We haven't done it on the client side due to the possibility that our process could not run properly because someone did not get the Vault extension.
