Changes to Vault-configuration needs to be tracked, logged

Currently we have an manual independent "Change Board" to track the configuration-changes for the ADMS, Vault-Client, and Jobservers.

From other systems I am used to have a an automatic logging of changes. Sometimes  with the possibility to maintain the reason for a change.

From my point of view with more than 1 Administrator for a system this is a mandatory functionality.

Hello, we have exactly the same problem!
We want to know when changes were made and who made it. It would also be great to know what has changed.
Same would be nice to have it for the Security Administrator role. Folder permission is set by specific users directly in Vault. If a mistake is made I need to know who the guilty is, to ask them what changes he made.

Hello,

Can Autodesk make an audit trail in Vault that tracks user edits by date? This feature is common place in ERP's. It is unsettling that a system designed to manage change doesn't track and manage the change to its own system...

Also, having a settings export would be nice for administration. There are multiple administrators to our system. So, one admin can make changes that cause problems for another admin later.  Now, the other admins don't know what changed and diagnosing in order to reverse the issue is difficult.

The configuration files exported from ADMS should show all the settings but they're in a proprietary encoding language. So, the config files are useless for a snap shot that would be saved for review at a later date. Reviewing two snap shots in excel of the vault settings would be simple with formulas or AI to show the specific differences. This allows for quick remediation.

Autodesk Vault really needs a simple way to track and communicate changes to the administration settings. I feel like an audit trail or settings export would be a great tool.

This is something that should be a higher priority.
