I would love to the option to create my own Theme for Vault.   I found the Light Theme to be too light, the Dark Theme is too dark so I'm stuck using the Classic There but then I can't read the information in the lower right hand corner.   I can't determine what Vault and Vault server I'm logged into.   Please give me the option to create my own Theme so I can set it so I can see what I need to see Show More

Vault 2027 now extracts physical properties from Inventor files, with one caveat: This only works with new Vault installations, not upgrades as defined here:   https://help.autodesk.com/view/VAULT/2027/ENU/?guid=INV-PHYSICAL-PROPERTIES Configuration requirements The physical properties, Area, Mass, Volume are available by default in newly created Vault 2027. For a restored or upgraded vault, you should manually create Area, Mass, Volume properties and map them to Inventor properties.   This should be an automatic process for upgrades as well, and not to force users to the potentially mind-numbing manual process, when this data is needed to be shown in items.   My apologies, if I have duplicated an existing post. Hello   According to your documentation only Windows 2022 Server OS is supported with Autodesk Vault Server (< ver 2027). That OS is soon out of support from Microsoft and we would like to upgrade to Windows 2025 OS using our current Vault server edition.    Anyone using Windows OS 2025, already? The Vault Add-in for SolidWorks 2024 & 2025 utilized the Temp folder during a number of key operations including: Renaming (Vault Thick Client) Copy design Scanning step of Autodesk Autoloader for SolidWorks The Autodesk Vault Add-in for SolidWorks utilizes the C:/Users/%user.name%/AppData/local/temp. Due to security policies this folder was being blocked by AppLocker preventing the functions above from working properly.  After troubleshooting this with Autodesk support the response was:   "It appears that Autoloader's access to the default temporary folder is part of the current software design and may be hardcoded. At this time, the development team is unable to offer an alternative solution without modifying the underlying behavior of the application. That said, the team is continuing to evaluate the issue, and a change may be considered for a future release if deemed appropriate."   Future releases should improve this such that the use of the temp folder is minimized entirely or the ability to redirect these files via a config file.  This is needed to improve security and accessibility.   Show More

Hello Team, Autodesk Vault Professional - We are facing an issue with formatting in vault to automation files created 2-3 years back. TXT. file export from vault creates multiple spaces between the fields (Refer image 2). It should be single space (refer image 1, it is captured from old txt file). I have done some communication with Vault support team and they replied as below.   The amount space put between two columns are determined by the minimum space required to align the columns in a way that it does overlap with each other. (More like a aligned table view).   This is how our product team intended the design. Hello  When we upgrade vault edition we would like to have a setting for read only mode from ADMS.  The upgrade can take least a day(24h) and more. I have been in cases when backup and restore can take 4 days.  In this time we need people to see data but not edit by mistake.  We ask for toggle switch to read only in the Console. Having a standalone installer for Data Standard, specifically one that we can interact with through command line, would be beneficial to VDS deployments. Yes it is possible to create a deployment image of Vault with Data Standard, but this does not help with users who already have Vault installed without Data Standard. Show More

Currently, Vault only runs custom addins from within the ProgramData folder. This complicates deployments of custom tools that may change more frequently than the actual Vault application.   It would be beneficial to have the ability to deploy custom addins to the user appdata folder that does not require administrative permissions to install.       Show More

Hi Autodesk, Can you add an option to Copy Design window where you can specify the number of copies you want to make of a specific file? With the bonus of having the name of those copies taken from an Excel sheet? For example, if you have a master Window Model and want to make ten copies of that window and change the size or properties slightly. Right now, we have to do 'Copy-Design' 10x; doing all ten copies at once would be nice. The problem of being unable to do One-To-Many copies is significant if you have a large project where you need to make 100x copies of the same file. I appreciate your consideration. -FR Show More

Could the Vault team consider a Vault Professional flavour based on Upchain, completely web based. This is particularly useful for companies that do not want to go through the overhead of setup their own servers and/or have problems with internal company IT and security (unexperienced and/or too bureaucratic)  which makes the setup, versioning and data migration a complete headache and sometimes a show stopper to many clients and projects. Inventor and FDU are great tools that are dismissed by some teams, because of Vault's server setup requirements and difficult maintenance within the company structure. Show More

I have a customer who is reporting that Vault Office does not come with a CAD viewer such as Inventor RO. Instead, you have to separately download Inventor RO, and install as a deployment for Office users to view CAD files. Viewing CAD files is listed as one of Vault Office's available features, but does not appear to fully work? Unless I'm missing something, could we please have Inventor RO install with Vault Office, like Vault Pro has?  Thanks! Show More

Hi, before an update to Vault 2022 the (non configuable) displayname of a user is the same as the loginname. After an update the configurable displayname  of the user is taken from given name and last name. So in case the loginname before the update was "mm" the user information in Vault and perhaps in a titleblock is "mm". After the Update this information is "Max Mustermann". Please copy the display name from the login name. Please give us an easy way to do this after the fact. Not manually for each user individually. Show More
