With the update to 2019, Infraworks moved from its own cloud groups to utilize the BIM 360 Document Management Service. This change brought the loss of a few things as well as the gain of a few things but one big issue that is occurring is that if a User has been invited to a projects docs service, they lose the ability to save their project locally and are forced to push to the cloud. An example of the situation could be that a user is invited to another companies host for a project, while their own firm does not have a bim 360 subscription. Now if that user would like to use Model Builder for one of their own projects, they cannot save locally. This should not be the case.

It would be excellent if more "default" visual styles and parameters could be set in Shared Views that are published online. To name a few that wouldn't be difficult to start with Chose default lighting style/backgrounds Chose default view style (preffereably one that replicates what is in Infraworks, for example contours dispalying with labels etc.) Chose whether layers can be turned on or off Chose which bookmarks will be made available Perhaps other ones for later could include Chose Proposals to publish (by nice to publish multiple ones) Chose Animations to publish from storyboards Offline mode for viewing in the field. Ability to change the defaults after publishing, by going to the website, tinkering and saving. IW shared views have very limited options

Integration of a special Autodesk Vault Addin, attaching documents not as a hyperlink, but as a link to an object or article inside Vault. The object represent the object inside INFRAWORKS and has attachments to the related documents. So you can see all related documents with attention to the user rights und lifecycles inside the Vault. It should also be possible to create such objects and also to attach documents to the object. Lifecycle operations should also work..

Parking is one of the most Valuable design assets to any project. It is a huge disappointment that it is not part of the software - I get that you can import shapes from C3D, but we are crunched on time here!

Please add the possibility to delete proposals (which are already published) in the sync dialogue of InfraWorks and in the BIM 360 project. In projects with "obsolete" proposals I would not sync these proposals again and I don't like to have them in my local project again. It would be easier to manage projects with lots of proposals and with proposals which have been used only temporary. Furthermore this was possible in the management of the old InfraWorks web Projects.

It would be great, if we had the same functionality, like AutoCAD has his eTransmit. That means not only make a dublicate from your Model, also have the choice to make a package of all objects you use in your Model, with one click.

This is a great product for conceptual design and site work. There needs to be a simple way to bring this information into and link with Revit. That way we can capture the site and use it for modeling the buildings on the site.

Can you add vertical and horizontal locks for measuring distances? Or even provide these values -inscreen- as deltaX, deltaY and deltaZ with reference to the USER coordinate system. The USER coordinate system is important because normally my models have LL84 geodetic coordinates coming in from Model Builder in the database. Furthermore, any extra options like Perpendicular and Parralel would also be nice to have.

It would be nice if the model does not regenerate every time you make a change to a PVI using the Curve Properties window. This would be the same as how changes in the profile window do not update the model until you move the mouse back into the model or have the "Auto update model" box checked. Changing the values for a PVI (grade in, grade out, station, elevation, K-value, etc.) can oftentimes involve some trial and error, so minimizing the delay after changing a value would be helpful.

Currently when roads manipulate the surface in cut or fill there is no way to change the texture/material of these cuts and fill. So you can not tell visually where the natural ground begins or ends. Also in reality fill materials will not be the natural ground so need to look different. Our team do visual impact assessments. When I put in a road with large cut or fill into the hillside and then look from a far off vantage point, I can barley see my slither of tarmac, which gives the impression of no visual impact. In reality the road will be sitting on some compacted fill material. There should be an option to change the material in the style pallet. Incidentally the water areas have something already like this with the 'bank material'. As you can see from the image. For the road the trees on the image overlay look like part of the grading. The water bank behaves more realistically. The way to get around it for now is to create a coverage area using the 'daylights' in Civil3D, import and overlay the areas and texture to suit. But that is time-consuming for any optioneering. If I have missed something...Let me know! Thanks

You have to include model explorer in viewer mode. We are using IW viewer to share a big railway project in Norway and we have about 100 members reviewing the model through cloud and IW viewer. Compared to other tools like Navisworks, Virtual Map, Solibri etc. IW viewer has extremely limited functionality but enabling surface layers and model explorer would improve the experience significally.

There needs to be a way to turn lane arrows on and off. You can do this with lane lines, but it would be very helpful to turn on and off the arrows at an intersection. Road planners get very upset if an arrow is on the road at the intersection when it should not be, or is not wanted. Of course, this dove tails into a greater need for controlling lane lines, but that should be another wish list item.

I am convinced the cloud models are hampering the startup of Infraworks for me. At first I thought it might be an issue with licensing, as I can only get IW to get past the startup logo if using phone tethered internet, not company internet. But then my civil3d starts fine. Once in a while, IW does open ok after about a minute on company internet. Then it opens fast after that no matter what I do. The one thing I cannot clean out is the default sample cloud model that is forced on us. Just for troubleshooting reasons alone, we need the ability to delete it from our group. I don't mean actually deleting the model from the cloud, just unsharing it so all models are local. This idea should apply to all products, Autodesk, not just IW.

After looking over the latest release (version 2017.2.314.0) I noticed the command icons are not consistent - design, analyze, review (see below). It would be great if the location of icons were consistent between the different modules.

Integration of Topobase data from MAP3D in INFRAWORKS wastewater functionality and a workflow between both products. We can use the coordinates (also the Z-coordinate), the dimension, the material etc to generate the graphical representation. Also using the configuration of dialogs inside MAP3D to show and edit the metadata of the objects. With this functionality it is possible with small work to integrate teh as build in teh visualisation of new projects. And also to integrate planed projects with the status planed inside the managing of as build.

We would like more control over the look of the carriageway centre white lines. Currently they are of even length and even space. We would like to be able to change the length of the white lines and spaces. The only way to do this at the moment is to import them as .fmx items, this does not help when you are trying to quickly model a road.
