I would like to see document manager improved to include the following:   Ability to open several drawings at once. Dialogue should remain after opening a drawng so that additional files can be selected without having to search everytime. At the very least, it should remember the last file you opened (similar to the std open dialogue). Should have an option to consider "only displayed" and "only selected" objects (particularly useful in large projects with lots of partial issues!). Batch plot improvements (would like an option to control the plots and even plot to multiple devices from document manager). Understand publish works well, but it forces the user to process the files twice by having to select them in document manager first (revision update) and the re-selecting in publish (plotting). Very cumbersome, especially in projects with thousands of drawings. Not to mention the possibility of error in selecting drawings... Thanks for considering...   Show More

Hello Everyone, all of us have already met with complex steel Assemblies which are extremely hard to represent on drawings. I often find myself in a situation where I would need something extra to tell the fabricator where something should be placed. So sometimes it would be perfect if I could insert just coordinates direct in the drawing. A simple 2-step command would be enough (see Figure). Now I am solving this with UCS and ID command in model and copying it back to AS drawing.   I would very much appreciate if you could conider adding this type of Dimension to future versions of AS. I'd like to select multiple clashes and ignore those at once. Right now I have to manually select a clash and press igore clash button multiple times to make clash list clear. Currently, a view can be rotated in detail drawing only manually, after generating the detail. The request would be to have the option to set the view rotation directly in Drawing Style Manager, in the detail style definition. Can someone at AutoDesk go through all the dialog boxes and match the diagrams to the text. There are so many that just don't make sense. One example is the shorten at UCS dialog box. There are numbers in the diagram that are not referenced in the text inputs. It is so confusing for new comers and it need not be.     Show More

The custom Dimension text is great, but it applies to all of the dimension labels equally.  Having a single dimension chain with one dimension label for "Under Clearance" and another to say "Top of Steel" for example.  This works best for Absolute or Ordinate dimensions which I noticed recently don't accept the custom labels at all.
