As much as Hilti changes their products this would have already become obsolete since I posted this. We buy so many Hilti products and they give us so much free stuff so I am assuming we must be a good customer :D. I am going to work with one of their engineers to try to get themto maintain the AS Hilti database. Keyword here is "them". Just as I finished creating HY-70 they spun it off to HY-270. Now half the time I check their site products are not there that were there before. When I need a new anchor I don't have I use their site to see what lengths are available for given diameters. HIT-V was just there a few weeks back now it isn't.
I agree with all the above comment. Each release of Advance Steel should have the latest bolts from all manufactures. This should not be that difficult. Or, maybe it is:-|
Yeah my relationship with AS is a love hate kinda thing. I love that I can do stuff that SDS2 & Tekla guys cant do. I hate that my kiss exports suck and theirs don't. I'm going to gain access to Hiltis product database and write a query to keep my anchor database current. I will share it with the community. I'll be like the Advance Steel Vigilante taking matters into my own hands. I've seen ideas on here keep the infamous "gathering support " status for years while we struggle to grasp at workarounds to solve trivial means for basic functionality. In the meantime Graitec will sell us the missing links in addons because it seems they are the only ones actively involved in continuing some sort of effort with this product. Us faithful users continue to be burdened with the additional unnecessary labor to overcome simple stale tasks we've become accustomed too. Especially manually adding fasteners to kiss files because we're too embarrassed to hand over files without them 😕 wow I got pretty far off topic there but my vent blows wide open at around 320psi lol
Regarding adding tapcon screws, AS can not create hex washer head screws. To make it look correct you have to create a dummy washer.
AS anchor system is not great. The Bolts is not much better.
For Bolts if you want to create a library it is best done in Excel and pasted in the database via ms sql. Using AS management tools will make a grown man cry.
I have created our entire bolt database like this because I don't like AS Bolts.
Hint to addon developers! Somebody create a standalone app dedicated to working the bolts & anchors. I started making a browser based NodeJS utility that does this but it's not very user friendly and my time is limited. It does work for me though.
