Revit team... stop focusing on adding more stuff. Stop focusing on changing where cloud models go for the 10th time. You all need to focus on optimization. This program is 25+ years old now. Buildings are large. And Revit can't keep up. You will be outpaced by another program, which honestly, I hope happens. Seems to me Revit is only optimized for a typical residential home. But our discipline focuses on large multistory complexes, high rises, master plans, etc. And this program has taken the fun out of our discipline by not keeping up. Remember using autocad? Remember how fast we could whip something up? Well that has never been the case with Revit. Ever since I started in this industry, every project NO MATTER HOW ORGANIZED YOUR MODEL IS AND NO MATTER HOW BEEFY YOUR COMPUTER IS, Revit will be sluggish. And I'm not just some idiot that doesn't know the ins and outs of Revit. This happens every time, no matter how well I organize our sets/bldgs. As an example, here is the usual process that happens... Click object. wait. make action. wait. hide object. wait. click template. wait. apply template. wait. click group. wait. edit group. wait. finish group. wait. Please do better. Our buildings are only getting larger and larger and Revit isn't keeping up.
