I'm hold by Autodesk, and it is my experience, that one cannot rename a Revit file and still use it with a TM file previously generated under the original Revit file name. This creates confusion and requires a "backwards" renaming of a current Revit file (and then renaming that file to a current identifying label) in order to use the TM file that hosted settings and materials. If one is used to using Enscape, which always responds correctly to the current Revit file (and name), you can see how much easier it works in that regard. Show More

As the title says, it would be nice to add an option to automatically align the section line in the plan view with its actual cropping region with one click. We have a keyboard shortcut for Section Box : BX. But it doesn't work for turning off the Section Box. It would be very useful to me to select an object, then Section Box it, edit the object, then turn off the Section box, select another object, Section Box it, and so on. We want to see if there are duplicate instances of data in the revit model.  Using count finds these instances however you are presented with a lot of 1's which ideally should be filtered out.   i.e in the Filter -  Count is greater than 1.   We would like to sort count in either ascending or descending order as well.   It would also be ideal to format count with a colour based on the value of the count. When setting up model text families that are to show alphanumeric data inside the model, you need to model these texts large enough for revit to keep them legible. model text going from 600 mm down to 2.5 mm in size this magnification shows model text 150 thru 2.5 mm size, 15 mm looks bad but legible, 5 requires you to know what you're looking at and 2.5 does not even look like text.This is probably just a bug. As of now, we have the ability to create view filters for very little Annotative categories, specifically, Reference planes, Levels, and Grids.    This has been ok so far. With filters we can easily play with the graphics of other linked models planes, levels/grids, without having to go into each Revit link, then go to custom, etc.    It would be great to add scope boxes and matchlines to this. Even better, it would nice to have all annotative categories be filterable.    Matchlines could also benefit from being able to apply its own color/line type in the object styles so that the host model matchlines stand out from linked model matchlines. Otherwise, they all tend to blob up. Here are a few examples on how we have them set up in our template and it has been incredibly useful with QC and turning things on/off.       Show More

Like the plan region, but instead of modifying the view range, you can modify the Visibility/Graphics Overrides. Sometimes you need to display a portion of the view differently, for example, in a section you want to see the shadows only from outside the building and not from inside, or in a floor plan you want to apply a view filter only to a section of that floor plan, not to all the categories on the entire floor plan. We usually solve this by creating two views, working with crop regions, and stacking the two views in the same position on the sheet. That way we could have visible alphanumeric info while virtually visiting our designs without setting up extra parameters that need to be maintained manually or by some dynamo script that users need to know about to routinely run it.
