It's great that the ACC web interface is slightly more mobile friendly than its predecessor BIM360, but there's still a long way to go, especially for very simple tasks like user management. This is something that takes only a few seconds on a desktop browser and could easily (and often urgently needs to) be done while I'm away from my desk and only have access to my phone. However, the website does not efficiently adapt to the small screen and persists in displaying a fixed sidebar in certain views and forcing us to interact with large, horizontally scrolling tables in others. Please update the ACC portal with better responsive design for those sorts of tasks (such as adding users to a project) that are conceptually so easy, but practically so difficult, to do on a phone. The project address does not appear on the mobile app. While we don't need it on the home page, having project about information would be nice either in the menu button or it's own tool/module. This will be incredibly helpful for field workers who need to go to different project sites, a new project site, etc. Same for inspections, etc. Show More

You can only search for "names" in the model browser. It would be great if you could also search object properties. The item number would be particularly important. The idea behind this is that when employees are on the construction site or workshop, they can easily find out where an individual item is located using a tablet. Show More

There's not much more frustrating as a VDC Manager than to be looking at your device and trying to remotely guide someone else on their device, only to find the devices have slightly different user interfaces.   While the ACC mobile app is pretty similar between Android and iOS platforms, there are still a number of notable differences. I use both Android and iOS regularly, and I must say that the Android ACC app is definitely the more polished app. The iOS app is still quite rough around the edges. However, Android is yet to receive some features which iOS has.   Putting aside the fact that each platform has their own unique design languages, I would like both app teams to come together to make them function the same.   Here's a quick starting list. Android On the menu there are no Specifications and Correspondence modules. On Sheets you cannot view Asset Markups. In the Members list, it is missing a quick selector for fast scrolling the list. iOS On Sheets cannot View as List. In Files you can't browse multi-page PDFs nearly as well as on Android. Has a counter-intuitive vertical swipe for the horizontal page thumbnail navigation. When you minimise the markup toolbar and then change pages, the markup toolbar re-expands. This is annoying when you simply want to read a document. There is a document GUID stamped across the top of each document. Links in the PDF do not work. In Forms, the form action buttons are not as well placed. Especially the Copy from and Discard form buttons at the very bottom. Android has these all nicely placed at the top of the form. In the Members list, there is an alphabetical quick selector for fast scrolling the list. It's not in alphabetical order. Show More

The ACC iOS app allows you to view the model but not create issues on the model as you can on the web. While you can place issues generally, you cannot place them on the model.  It's great being able to see the issues that have already been made from the web viewer on the iOS app models. Would just complete the experience and allow full model reviews on iOS. (I'd love clash detection views too but that's another topic).  Show More

Many of the ACC tools help remove the use of multiple types of software in managing project design by replacing the functions provided by other software. Team communication is not one of them yet, and it really ought to be.   A chat/post system could replace Microsoft Teams and other such chat/team discussion spaces. Ideally, this would be best connected to the design teams created in Design Collaboration, as well as a shared chat/team discussion space in the Shared folder created or mapped as a part of the Design Collaboration setup. This allows quick direct communication and information exchange within each discipline's design team as well as the design team as a whole.   Furthering this feature in the future, it would be good to have it as an app that can be downloaded to both computers and mobile devices. This would make the chat available even when one does not have ACC open on the web. This conversation history is often an important record of design changes, clarifications, decisions and important updates regarding the design process which allows team members to keep up with project development.  Show More

It would be good if you could add PDFs or photos as additional information to the individual questions in the form templates. It should also be possible to view these on mobile devices.   It would often be helpful for the person carrying out the work to receive additional information on a question in order to be able to fill out a checklist better.   As far as I know, this function already existed in BIM 360.   @Ap.Kofidis  Show More

It would be very helpful to be able to use the mobile app to upload pictures or notes to projects or even specific files. I can see on the Browser version for desktop that you can add pictures and upload notes, but that is completely missing from the mobile App.  Our goal is for our shop foreman/project leads to be able to upload pictures and notes regarding issues or changes directly to the project file without adding additional steps and log-ins.  Show More

NWD files, IPT files, ASM (1st level) and IDW files are all viewable on mobile, but STEP files are not currently viewable on Mobile. Perhaps that would be something worthwhile for some of us. Having 3D viewing capabilities of STEP files on Mobile would simplify the steps needed to provide access to models, without having to go through the steps like adding the file into Navis or import into inventor and re-upload to Docs.  Show More

Build photo functionality is available, but additional functionality is suggested. In Japan, the blackboard needs to be included in the site photos. Most Japanese general contractors use solutions from other companies, and we get this feedback a lot when we roll out Build. This may be unique to Japan, but I would like to see it considered. Recently, the ACC app was updated to allow the uploading of various files. However, there is still no functionality to download files within the app to an accessible location on the phone. Our field technicians require the ability to transfer files to their data collectors, but all files are currently hidden away within the ACC App's secure folders, requiring root level access to interact with. The workaround we currently implement is to run an APK that allows the saving of the cached file through the web-link provided when a file is tapped, but this adds multiple steps and requires the user to manually re-name the file because the file name meta-data is replaced in the process. Please include an interface to download the files within the mobile application to an accessible location on the device, ideally maintaining the file name in the process. Show More

The Home page in the mobile app needs to be rearranged.   At the very top of the Home page, it states: "Here's what's happening on your project today". The immediate few sections under that are "Take a photo", "Recently viewed sheets", and "Recently viewed files". None of these sections have anything to do with "what's happening"   You know what does, the next section under that for a member's "Work status". THIS section needs to be relocated to be just under the "what's happening" heading.   When a subcontractor opens their ACC app and navigates to their project, the very first thing they should see is their Work Status. And it should be the exact same on the desktop experience. The member should not have to scroll down to see this very important section. Show More

The mobile app needs better tools for finding Sheets using Search and Tags to match the desktop experience.   There are two features that need to be added: Filters > Tags needs the 'Results must include all tags' checkbox, so that it can be turned OFF. Saved Searches. Show More

On the Desktop version you can have a file open and assign an "issue" to a specific spot or file that is assigned to that file directly. The mobile version requires you to exit the file, open the issues tab, create an issue, and then assign the file to it. Why not add the issues option directly to the file?  I noticed this already works on PDF's, but why not add it as a feature to .idw, .nwd, and .ipt files? Dear. The use of ACC on mobile devices becomes increasingly necessary to boost the collaborative workflow between the office and projects that are under construction. For this reason, it is suggested to add the incident tool to 3D models in the same way that incidents are generated in PDF files. The Workflow would be substantially improved to communicate the inconsistencies of the 3D model with what is being done in construction. I attach an image with the explanation.   Estimad@s.
