Team Communication Feature

Many of the ACC tools help remove the use of multiple types of software in managing project design by replacing the functions provided by other software. Team communication is not one of them yet, and it really ought to be.

 

A chat/post system could replace Microsoft Teams and other such chat/team discussion spaces. Ideally, this would be best connected to the design teams created in Design Collaboration, as well as a shared chat/team discussion space in the Shared folder created or mapped as a part of the Design Collaboration setup. This allows quick direct communication and information exchange within each discipline's design team as well as the design team as a whole.

 

Furthering this feature in the future, it would be good to have it as an app that can be downloaded to both computers and mobile devices. This would make the chat available even when one does not have ACC open on the web. This conversation history is often an important record of design changes, clarifications, decisions and important updates regarding the design process which allows team members to keep up with project development.
