Hi! There have been numerous posts about this topic already, I know. https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max-ideas/consistent-tools-workflow-and-experience/idi-p/6840252 In fact, I'm convinced that in the meantime Max' development team is fully aware of Max' UI issues, and working hard on it, but anyway, allow me to illustrate the issue again, one last time, for what it's worth: The view menus could also be all the same, in fact: Past Max developers wasted so much time re-inventing the wheel over and over again... every panel has it's own layout, looks, set of navigation tools, and different view menus... Look at Softimage! It has been left to rot, fair enough, but honour it at least by learning from it's tight, appealing UI! Panels are dockable, and (mostly) have the same UI logic and looks. I always liked it a lot. Cinema4D's UI also has this squeaky clean UI design philosophy. Again, do it your own way - but keep it consistent and logical! 3ds Max is old, a pioneering piece of software, but also a story of missed opportunities, but I have the impression that there is a willingness at Autodesk to really get things fixed. Hope I'm not mistaken, because I still like Max, and it's 'hands-down' approach to things. You did a good job on many UI parts already. The Particle Flow nodes have been based on the same GUI library like e.g. MCG, - good start! Don't stop now. Also, please continue introducing more icons with that nice, modern, unobtrusive style. (And contemplate if gradients in any UI elements are really necessary... matter of taste, maybe - I for my part find the oldschoolish.) Many of your clients are professionals in the visual arts, designers, architects, etc., people who 'eat with their eyes'... what impession are we supposed to have when looking at such a UI? Thanks for reading and your understanding!
