Have a simple GIF somewhere on the app UI interface that loops so that when it is processing heavily, the animated GIF should naturally freeze thus letting you know not to click anywhere else to prevent unintentional changes (camera trucking, de-selections, object moves, etc,.). This will also let the end user know when the system is active / ready again once it starts naturally animating again.
Should be easy to implement on the developer end.
