Description This is a very confusing part of the Revit Vault Options. The term ‘Add to Vault’ suggests that you are explicitly defining which files can be added to vault. Yet, in the default list it is listing temporary file types which you wouldn’t want in Vault. The WikiHelp says; “Add File and Add Folder options apply only to the file extensions in this list.” Once again it suggests only these file types can be added.   Impact Confusion to the user and therefore misuse of the dialog could occur.   Severity Medium   Solution Improve the WikiHelp, or better yet improve the dialog to make it less ambiguous to the user.   Show More

Description We require the ability to save a Family from a project (Project Browser) directly into Vault. Refer to the image below.   Impact The current functionality is limiting the standard Revit workflow which users are accustomed to, and therefore creating more work for the user. Currently custom Tabs are displayed on all Preview Panes for Documents\Items.   Give the Admin the ability to control what Tabs are displayed on all Preview Pane based on Category on Folder\Doc\Item\Change Order\Custom Objects   The idea is to allow custom forms to be category specific and allow the user to input data into a concise clean form that mimics the manual paper forms instead of the not so intuitive Edit Properties Dialog.
