When viewing an Inventor file in thin client, you only see the master design representation. When you publish a dwf from Inventor you get to chose the representation:   The jobprocessor always takes the master design view representation. Unfortunatly, when you add some colours a new default design rep is created but not included in the .dwf created by de jobprocessor.   Description: Customer has a defined folder structure with naming and numbering convention and files and folders are propertly organized     Challenge: If users want are not following the correct process they move files around to wrong folders and even to the root folder within Vault. The Admin needs then to move those files back and remind the users to follow the process, but some times this is not enough.   Proposal: Track / Audit who moved files the last time from what folder to what folder and make that visible for the admin in the details tab.   Show More

Hello VAULT team,   at the moment it is possible to customize the output file names of PDF files created with the Job Processor by modifying the Job Processor configuration file JobProcessor.exe.config. The naming convention defined in the config file is valid for all files in the vault. (see picture "VAULT-1" and "VAULT-3")   However, in different projects we need different definitions for the naming conventions for the created PDF files. It would therefore be important to be able to define multiple name definitions in the config file. The application of the appropriate naming convention should be based on the file category of the file from which the PDF is to be created.  (see picture VAULT-2)   For each project, we create a project-specific file category and use it to assign the appropriate life cycle and revision scheme to the files. Using this project-specific file category, the job processor could recognize which naming convention it should use to create the PDF file.   It would be great if these configuration options were added quickly. Hallo Vault-Admins, dear Autodesk-Team, for administrative Tasks in Autodesk Vault it would be very helpful to have possibility to map one or more properties within Vault to another Vault-Property or user-defined-Vault-Property (UDP). Nowadays it is nacessary to use Vault Data Standards, API or a mapping within Inventor (ILogic, Macro or definitions in the IProperty-Task). I think it should be possible to define such Property addings in Vault! In this case we only have to map one property instead of 2 or 3 to get the same result. This is, I think, an essential function for data management softwares and we should have a simple possibility to make such things. For new Vault Projects we often can find a loop way to do this. For PSP-Vault-Migrations it is an difficult work to get every possibility of mapping running.   Here an example:   We have 4 Properties and want to set 3 of them to the fourth of the properties (= summary).   Property 1: "NR.1"  (string)--> Value = "12" Property 2: "NR.2"  (string)--> Value = "20" Property 3: "NR.3"  (string)--> Value = "35.758" Property 4: "customer part Name" (property set):                          --> the result of the Property Mapping should be: "122035.758"                         --> Value = <NR.1><NR.2><NR.3>   Example 2:   We take the same Property examples as above and we want to add a limiter in between the Properties.   Property 4: "customer part Name" (string):                          --> the result of the Property Mapping should be: "12/20/35.758"                         --> Value = <NR.1>/<NR.2>/<NR.3>   There should be a simple way to configure such mappings in the Property-tab of vault Administration in the property Definition window.       Pleas vote 🙂   Thanks Dominik     Show More
