Vault thin client - representations in forge viewer

Vault thin client - representations in forge viewer

When viewing an Inventor file in thin client, you only see the master design representation.

When you publish a dwf from Inventor you get to chose the representation:

The jobprocessor always takes the master design view representation.

Unfortunatly, when you add some colours a new default design rep is created but not included in the .dwf created by de jobprocessor.

How I want it to display:

How it is displayed in thin client:

The Vault 2023 Thin Client & Vault Client (Forge) has no option to select the View Representation in "View" Tab.

Please make that we can select View Representation in Thin Client & Vault client (Forge) like in Design Review.

And in the same time please make that Design Review & Thin Client (Forge) display correctly the solid bodies visibility in View Representation: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/make-dwf-dwfx-display-the-correct-solid-bodies-visibil...

Exemple:

View Representation in Inventor with hidden solid bodies: 1_Inventor.png

Cannot select the View Representation in vault client (Forge): 2_VaultClient.png

In Design review we can select Vie Representation but solid bodies visibility is not managed correctly 3_DesignReview.png compare to 1_Inventor.png

Cannot select the View Representation in Thin client (Forge): 4_ThinClient.png

I would like to extend this to model states, so we can switch between model states of the one file in the DWF.

Autodesk deployed an new fancy viewer, but does not support common native designview representation technology. Unbelievable that this functionality is not default available. Even in application Design Review supported. Is is a musthave when configurating assemblies with Inventor.

I agree. It is unbelievable that a very good tool like model states is not supported by visualization files in vault

It is indeed unbelievable that the new tool has less essential functions than the old one.

This alone renders the Vault Thin Client pretty much useless.

view rappresentation is a very useful feature to show a simple piece of projet, not only for engeener , but it's very useful for other users by vault thin client.
when will you include this feature in vault thin client ? the same for Model state?

This was very poorly developed.  All users need the ability to view the Model States and View Representations.  Autodesk needs to fix this immediately.

The current version of the Vault Viewer is poorly developed.  All users must have the ability to view all Model States and View Representations as well as be able to set which ones are used to create the Default View in Vault.  Autodesk needs to fix this immediately.
