Custome CR and CN-Reports should be added to the Workflow Primitive. this allows the organisation to setup Automatic CR or/and CN Report Creating mechanisms in the Workflow.  when created the Report must be attached to the CR or CN as a General Document. the attachment should be allowed even if the Organisation wants to Print the Report. the Report must allow PDF, Office or XML formats to be created and attached to the CR or CN-Workflow.   the Use Case. We've found that files that are imported into the translation files of an Item do not get removed when the Item gets revised and new translation files are generated. In the use case we've found the issue in, PDFs migrated through the DTU are not getting replaced when new translation files are generated. It's understandable that people could want to add files that stay with the item.      I propose that any file type in the translation files are always gets replaced as a new file of that type gets generated, as translation files should be an up to date translation of the item. If a file needs to stay as it is with the item then a specification type should be used.   Understanding that this could impact companies already using the translation files to keep files with the item, having a tenant property to toggle this replacement behavior would probably be best. User Case. The manufacturer article number and manufacturer name are key values in the identification of purchased articles. In large organizations working in different countries, there may be typos or different interpretations of characters in the manufacturer item number, e.g. the decimal separator "." could be a period or comma "," or a hyphen "-". This could lead to unnecessary articles being created and problems arising. Users usually search in the advanced search first to see if a purchased item already exists before creating a new one in Upchain. If they cannot find an already created item due to the different interpretation of the decimal separator and create a new one, this would not be correct. Solution. The item version search for the "manufacturer item number" should contain a search criterion "equal to without special characters". This should work like a regex search and only search alphanumeric characters case insensitive. Show More

the advanced search returns a large amount of data. this is sometimes confusing. add standard filters to the results table. This should filter the results based on selected criteria. Latest released newest version Status "Released" and "Released External" the filters should be added as buttons that the user can activate and deactivate after the search result is displayed. this should not affect the search query and only change the presentation of the results. When going thru multiple drawings in a change request its to time consuming to open the BOM, then the drawing for each. What I believe would make this faster is the possibility to open the drawing in a new tab directly from the items in the CR. E.g. right click the drawing file name and open in new tab. Please add search and filter for items within the CN window.    User Case. when working with large assembly CN's. Navigating and scrolling between all Requisitioned items to find one specific item is extremely difficult and time consuming, sometimes resulting in errors and typos. A search box  or just "Strg + F" will help in finding the items more efficiently resulting in more user friendly CNs.  another possibility would be to add filter capability to the item number row. where the user can write the Item number and the CN grid would only show the filtered items.   Show More

The default automatic selection in the CN should select any item where the difference between the P and H quantity is not equal to 0, regardless of whether it is positive or negative. Currently, the behavior of Upchain is not consistent. When a CN is created, all items with a positive difference between P and H quantity are automatically selected. However, items that have been reduced in quantity and have a negative difference between P and H quantity are not selected, so they are usually forgotten. these leads to errors in Large CNs. further a visual dynamic marking, with a different color(pref. Use case. if a user is searching for example items that have a specific shapes or Material. both values are picklist values. the user must add for each material they want to search a search criteria. this is not user friendly  or practical. Customer, manufacturer, project or department names are controlled via a table. When searching in the advanced search, the user should not enter or guess the name, but should be offered it via a selection list. This should be the same behavior as with other picklists such as material or form. The values in the selection list should be multi-selectable so that no further criteria need to be added if a user searches for more than one of the above values for an attribute. Show More

Use case. The search in the advanced search provides a large number of results and a large table with information. The display settings and the order of the information in the table are fixed. Most of the time, users are interested in information that is on the far right of the table and/or not conveniently arranged. The user spends time rearranging the fields so that they can read the results. Restarting the search or the next search will clear this order of the fields in the grid. Solution. Use Case. - Different Divisions and Users have different needs on the Advanced Search. when Admins or Users create a complex Advance Search Query they have the option either to save private or expose to the complete Organisation in Upchain. this results in either having only Private Search Queries that every new user has to setup by themselves or the complete Organisation is overwhelmed by a large number of search Queries offered in the saved searches. this renders the saved search as unpractical and complex. the Solution. - Allow Admins or Elevated Users to Create Search Queries and expose these to only a division and or Teams of Users. - the exposure should be based on Division and or Project and or Team and or Division Team.     Show More

Idea. Tenant admins should be able to add Custom attributes to Projects.  the logic should follow the same behaviour as Item attributes or Document attributes. the Custom attributes must be. Editable by the tenant Admins. Searchable have different Data Typs. can be Project type specific or general for all projects. the connection to Project type must except multiple values. can be used in workflows as control primitives. are exposed to the API. values can be controlled by a Picklist. Depending on the license, X storage space is available per user for the upchain. There is currently no way to display how much storage space is being used in the upchain as an administrator. According to me, this must be made visible to the users. Show More

Currently if I search for a part number via the CAD addin's search icon, it returns all revisions of that part but in a random order. For something with multiple revisions this makes it confusing to pick up the latest revision especially when items have minor revisions as well. It also makes it difficult to identify the item version in development as that is jumbled as well. The search should return the results such that the latest version of the item (dev or released) is at the top adn descending order after that.          Show More
