Allow viewers to see unreleased product structure items

It would be helpful to have a toggle to allow viewers to see unreleased product structure items.

We want to use product structure items as folders (as recommended by Upchain tech support), but in order for it to work, they have to stay in development. This means that our viewers can't see the projects, as they can only see the latest released.

Having a toggle means other companies that use product structure items differently can continue to do so without viewers seeing them.

@sarsha8U22Z This is an awesome suggestion because it directly enhances usability and flexibility in Upchain. Allowing viewers to see unreleased product structure items, through a simple toggle, would unlock so much more visibility and collaboration potential without disrupting existing workflows.

Currently, using product structure items as folders (as advised by technical support) forces them to remain in development, unintentionally hiding critical project structures from viewers. That creates unnecessary bottlenecks and limits transparency for teams that need to stay aligned on the bigger picture.

  • A toggle-based solution is elegant because it respects both worlds, Companies that want unreleased items to remain hidden can keep them that way.
  • Teams like ours, which leverage product structure items as organizational tools, can ensure our viewers still have visibility into ongoing work.

This change would empower teams to collaborate more effectively, give viewers better context on projects, and make Upchain more adaptable to different user needs, all without compromising control. It’s a small adjustment with a huge impact on usability and overall workflow efficiency.
