Hey   Feature used in an assembly were you have an huge block with the outlines of a desired form. at the moment you have enable but you can't measure or constraint anything on the part while it's faded. would be nice if you could use measure on it.   1. right click on a part in an assembly 2. select part 1 to be un-constraint-able (you can no longer add any new constraints on that part.) 3. you return to the assembly 4. you hover your mouse cursor over two overlapping parts to place a constraint, it will never select anything from part 1 but only part 2 5. when your done, right click to make part 1 constraint-able again   i apologize if my suggestion is hard to understand (English isn't my mother tongue.) or if it's already a feature I have failed to find.   Kind regards. Hello, I found a bug in Inventor 2017. If I export an part list to excel and I will search an excel template then I can not see the excel files in the Inventor explorer. In the picture you can see that the excel files in the windows explorer exist.   In Inventor 2015 it works perfect.   Please can you fix this bug.       Show More

Inventor allows CAD administrators to export the program's settings as set in the 'options' for safekeeping, which is great; but it would also be nice to have the capability built in to export JPG or PNG screenshots of the various tabs, which is easier to understand than a long laundry list of XML code.   Granted, one can open each tab and do an ALT-PrtScr, paste to the paint program of one's choice, and save the image file; but that's tedious and prone to missing things, especially with buried dialog boxes.   Please see attached images that illustrate what I like to do to make administering my Inventor and other Autodesk products easier.
