Meshmixer - "Error writing file - cannot open file" message when attempting to save file or export

Hello There,

 

I am new to Meshmixer (v3.5) and just installed the program on my 2019 MBP running Mojave 10.14.6.

 

The installation seemed to complete without errors, but every time I try to export or save a file, I encounter an error message that says "Error writing file - cannot open file". Does anyone know what might be causing this error?

Are you trying to save the file over a network, a mapped drive, or UNC path?

Nope, just trying to save to a local destination on my Mac. Your question helped solve my issue though. Out of curiosity, I changed the save destination from the default location (Macintosh HD) to "Desktop", and I was able to save and export after making that change. Thanks for the help. 🙏🏼
