Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me! I have downloaded AutoCad 2017 several times now & it is still not properly installed on my machine.
The first time the programme downloaded and everything looked ok, but I was not able to click start drawing so I had a look online, looked like it was a download issue so I uninstalled & reinstalled. Since then I've tried this several times but all installations have failed in one or more parts, except the last one which showed all the components downloaded, but Autodesk is showing as a folder rather than an Icon on my Windows Programme list and AutoCad 2017 is not there as one of the programmes, I have the Autocad Desktop App and A360 desktop.
Any ideas??
Thanks,
Lizzie

I would recommend that you try downloading your product using the virtual assistant by following the directions here:

It has nothing to do with Direct X...
You have a 1603 failure on a core Autodesk product.. Not good. Sorry that you are faced with this problem..
See @TravisNave and my information in this posting. Some users have had success in reinstalling Windows but that's not really a viable solution. If something does work for you please let us know because to this date no one has indicated any success in getting over the 1603 error on a core product installation.

Before you install, please UNINSTALL all your Microsoft C++ redistributables - you will have multiple and this is what yoru log reflected as a failure. We want to eliminate this particular failure and see if it helps.
Then install- they will be reinstalled.
Thanks for your query,
