Brand New fresh install of AutoCAD 2015 and it won't open. Returns the following message: The Application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142).
Tried to install it on 3 various machines, all Windows 7, all 3 have the exact same message. Thus it's not computer related, it's either something with the build or a conflict with other software that is on all 3 of my PC's. (I.E. it's a pretty common software that it's conflicting with)
Dissappointing wanting to kick the tires on a new release and it won't even open! It's usually Christmas time for us Autodesk users, I just opened a present and found a lump of coal! ๐

My problem still there. I did all the tips you suggested above, remove arobat, disable AV firewall, changed registry key, and updated graphic driver...
Lenovo ideapad y510p
i7, 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA Geofore 750M
I can open 2015 trial version, but as soon as I opened it, it became No Response.
Tried all means and unable use the Civil 3D 2015 trial version... :(((
Any tips could help me out with this issue?!

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice now with no success. I had Adobe 11, uninstalled that restarted and reinstalled. restarted again and tried to boot up autocad 2015, still no luck. That lump of coal I opened just seems to be getting bigger

Hi Alfred, from reading some of your comments, you may be able to help me. I have had the most frustrating day trying to install Product Design suite 2015 of which Aotocad Mechanical and electrical come up with that error code 'unable to start, error 0xc0000142. 3Ds max, Inventor Professional, Navisworks all loaded and opened. Only the Autocad applications failed to launch.
Operating on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. 16GB RAM, Nvidia K4000 Graphics card, 3TB hard drive and 500GB SSD.All brand new
Ihad already loaded other software like Adobe for instance. After reading your other posts this was my first try, then, also, the registry edits to which i found 2 that were listed. I did note however that when the 1 was changed for a 0 OK'd and then window closed, I opened the registry again befor even reloading Autocad and the change had not been saved. This process was repeated and tried again many times without success. I finally loaded a registry cleaner recomended of course and ran scans. There were plenty of issues and all was fixed, a restart and another reload but still no luck. SpeedyPCPro. Reading other things tonight on Wiki Fixes shed some light on the whole enigma of dll's. After all the restarts and uninstall and installs, how do I check that each one of these operations has not left some kind of mark and therefore recurring problem with the registry.More to the point, why have autodesk not fixed the problem themselves with an update or service pack. I have wondered of the resolution is not compatible but surely it would just downgrade it accordingly.
Any help greatly appreciated before I defect to Solidworks.
Kind Regards.
Jas

I have tried all the suggestions in the emailss under http://autode.sk/1k9JRzx" and non of them work. Is there a problem at Autodesk in that I can't speak to a human? Are there any there?
I too was hoping for Christmas and got a lump of coal.

I have been running AutoCADLT for over a month with Adobe Acrobat Pro 10 with no problems. Today I did a simple thing like editing color of a text objece and the system crashed. When I went to restart I got the 0xc0000142. I rebooted and got the same error. I really am not excited about uninstalling and reinstalling as I purchased both as downloads and worry they will tell me that I have already downloaded what I paid for.

Here is the solution that worked for me. I didn't have Adobe 9 and I tried the Regedit fix and didnt' work.
Found this here: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-ecscad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Th...
It suggested unistalling a program called "Search Protect" which I didn't even know I had. Apparently it's supposed to keep another program from changing your prefered search page. Not an issue, so I unistalled it (from your standard software uninstall page on control panel)...clicked the icon and the program started right up.
Weird, but I'm gladd it's finally resolved (PIA!) I think the problem is that when ACAD 2015 starts it immediately tries to alter your browser setting to Internet Explorer 11 which I do not use. The Search Protect program must "see" that that ACAD is "looking" to mess with your registry lock that Search Protect installs and prohibits the start. Hey, Autodesk, we really don't need you messing with our browser settings.
Hope this helps the next guy (or gal).

Same error on my system, and none of the AutoCAD 2015 (Electrical, Std, Civil 3D) would run. 2014 and below ran OK though. Went to the UpandReady site and checked out the MS Technet download of Autoruns per the suggestion, and my problem .DLLs were from a program called Performance Optimizer:
performanceoptimizer.dll & performanceoptimizer_x64.dll.
Uninstalled it and everything started up normally again.
I LOVE Autoruns! That program is a keeper!

I keep getting this error when trying to install Autocad 2015: Setup.exe Entry Point Not Found
I have CS3 which has Adobe Acrobat 8. I really need Autocad for my school, but I need CS3 for my job! I don't want to delete it. I also have Avast, which I can disable.
Can anybody help?

I have the same problem,
Adobe 9 is installed and I am really hesiatnt to uninstall it just becuase of this
I uninstalled Civil 3D 2015 and tried to reinstall it but now there is a message that a newer version is already installed, I assume this is the SP2
Wow...
How about bringing the programming house back to the good ol' US of A
What did Autodesk do, forget to pay their software developer subcontractor, or maybe the subcontractor forgot to pay the subcontractor --> I think autodesk has finally morphed into a solid briefcase company
