I am a long term autocad user in my architectural practice. As I near retirement, I have decided not to pursue my subscription. I understood that since I purchased autocad previously I would be able to continue to use what I have. I got some kind of update thing the other day. Now when I try to load Autocad I get a message that my license is invalid.
How can I get back to my last purchased version?
If this is the wrong place to ask, would you please direct me to the correct one? I no longer have an "authorized reseller" to contact
Thank you

Hello ROBERTHAIGHT1851

It looks like you're getting an "Invalid Serial Number” message or having trouble with your product key while trying to register and activate your Autodesk software. The following article(s) should help you resolve the problem:

Click Top reasons why you may get a Serial Number Error during Activation

And check Error: "Invalid serial number" (standalone activation)

For product key information: Finding Serial Numbers & Product Keys

If you’re having an issue with your product key, please make sure that you are using the correct one for your product (especially if your product comes from a suite). Finally, you should type then numbers and letters in. We do not recommend copy/paste.

If you are still having issues activating your product, you may visit our Activation Contact Us page and submit your inquiry there.

If you had an active subscription and no longer continue with it..  It means that you are only entitled to use the version that is currently released by Autodesk when you went off subscription.

Not sure what version you are talking about or when you went off subscription, but it want to go back to the legacy version you basically have to get back on subscription.

I understand the legacy question. I am not trying to get new versions, just use the earlier one.  My subscription just lapsed in January so I have ACAD 2015. I was able to find my serialnumber and product key and used them to get back to work.

I will need to better understand what the popup Autodesk Manager is doing so I don't get into the same situation again

Thank you for the assistance

You might consider disabling and/or uninstalling the Autodesk Manager.  It's just going to be bothersome and useless for you being off Subscription.
