Does the new subscription based license for AUTOCAD allow you to instal on a PC and laptop concurrently or do we need two subscriptions?

Welcome to the community..

Term based licensing allows the software to be installed on numerous machines since the activation is through the named account (Autodesk ID).  However the named account can only be used one machine to run the software at any given time.

To elaborate, the Subscription does allow a 2nd install provided that you are the only one using it and not using it concurrently.  If the idea is for a 2nd user to be able to use it, then you need a 2nd license.

I see that this post is 4 years old and I was curious if the EULA still allows this?

I work for a company that has several subscription licenses. They manage them using my Autodesk ID and I primarily use the company laptop for work.  However my laptop is excessively heavy and I am considering purchasing a Ipad Pro. If I can convince my company to allow me to use AutoCAD and Navisworks on the Ipad it will justify the purchase out of my pocket.

Can you point me to the section in the EULA where the two computer installation is acceptable?

Thanks

Hi @Tom_Fitz

You can install and activate it on up to 3 devices. But to keep with the licensing only using 1 PC at a time.

Issue:

Is it possible to install a single license of software on multiple computers?

Solution:

Subscription software can be installed on more than one computer. However, only the named user can sign in and use that software on a single computer at any given time.

you do realize full Autocad or Navisworks don't run on an Ipad right?

I’m aware that AutoCAD 360 left me wanting in the past. But “recent” articles are suggesting otherwise. Just doing my research before I commit.

I don't see a reason to use 2 computer simultaneously if you are only one person.
