Hello again to the Fusion Design Community!

In anticipation of the July update going out in the next week (or so), we've decided to do an early drop on the details of what community bugs have been addressed this time around! If you want to get an early jump on these fixes, you're more than welcome to apply for the Insider Program and get early access!

In an ongoing effort to increase our transparency as well as our communication with you, we're continuing with our initiative of calling out all the Forum Reported bug fixes that are included in each update. The list below comprises all the issues that have been raised by our engaged community. So, without further ado, here is what we're going to see in the July 2024 update (creator of forum thread and the thread itself, in no particular order):

DESIGN

@732595 New users should have a better onboarding experience
@robert8WJZ8 Open File window should now do a better job of displaying the correct time
Anon Sweep should now do a better job connecting
@CL604 The API should now do a better job of loading specific versions of Derived Components
@jdotson8 Profiles generated from SVG should now be more reliable.

@arneboon RMB menu should now show the "Open" option!
@hajime2MRG3 Vscode should now launch correctly when using "Scripts and Add-ins"
@djon_3V3 Render should now show the soldermask correctly
@Bjanders Data Panel should do a better job recognizing that it's not Offline
@db-3d Images in Canvas Disappear Randomly
@mac_ito More Configuration name display options in Preferences
@mikLamming Driven Dimensions and Offsets should now do a better job working together
@xarynh Sharper Utilities should now work properly in Fusion 360
@binon_stepane SVG's imported from Inkscape should work properly now
@HughesTooling Sketch Dimensions should be in proper location regardless of Component Origin
Anon Combining or joining edges of a surface body
@TrollTuner2 Full Screen Window should behave more correctly on launch
@othiele_kh-berlin Surface patch should now work correctly for your model
Anon Fusion should no longer crash when toggling visibility thru the API
@rupprechtt

Changing Configuration in Drawing  should not remove all suppressions

Just as in the prior updates, this isn’t to suggest that those are the only fixes that we've included. The list above are the issues specific to the Design Forums; within this update our team has additionally found and closed 150+ different bugs.

Still haven’t seen your issue on the list and wondering if/when it's going to get fixed? Don't hesitate to "bump" the original thread that you created, and I'll be happy to chase down the status of your issue!

Thanks for contributing to what makes the software truly great!

all i know right now are thigns are not working as expected from the last update
and i cant do things i used to do . and  things especially are not selecting like they used to .
i did reset allsetings to factory and then re added my preference changes ( literally units to mm and tinkercad navigation  )
cant make meshing threads modeled  ( one of the two surfaces  always gets unselectable and wont model ) (also no tolerance/gap) setting for those surfaces  so i always ahve to  modify that later with offset faces
(mostly i make for 3d printing in plastic .  and that reminds me that im very upset to ahve to pay for another full licence [cost wise] jsut to use the boss/snapfit and geo pattern features   yet i can do a draft analysis for molding  free )

and using an amd processor whenever fusion ' hangs'  for long times its barely even tweaking on the on set of 4 cores and i have 16.. memory is not maxed and gpu is literally not over 5%
but yet fusion is 'computing'

and i reallyreally want BING AI off   its burdonsome and always in the way

also a pet peeve  when the 'units' entering boxes show up  they seem to always show up right in front of the thing you need to see and using microscopic text..  im on a 27" monitor 4 feet from my face and though i am probably going blind  there seems to be no way to make the text bigger. in any of the gui .

@OmegaDreams Seems like there are a lot of issues you are calling out. Can you please copy this and post it as a new thread?

I’m not always on the forum so I depend on email. But fusion still seems
to always be more counterintuitive with selections now the auto grounding
anchoring is in place and then use fasteners doesn’t like flat planes not
aligned to the origin (parallel).

That’s the big ticket annoyance.

this jsuly 29 patch jsut came through in my region ( on the 31)  so it fixed someo f the annoyances.
but i stil lahve a flickering curson that picks on profiles and edges i ahve hidden from view( invisibled) and only goes away in isolate mode..

and teh sweep path deforms my sweeps ( see another post i made)

if a new thread is needed make one and tag me  in it..  im trying to keep food in my belly 🙂
